The more, the merrier, I always say! Maybe they live in a version of Earth where the quirks not only gave people powers, but they also caused the ratio of female-to-male births to skyrocket.

Yes, it makes perfect sense. It would certainly be in-line with how quirks work in the MHA universe; they wear off when the user gets far enough away.
