I decided to look into the audio leaks. They were hilarious I died laughing. I do wonder why Yamcha had so many lines. And I couldn’t find any with Chris’s acting. Now this isn’t a dig at you or anyone who’s bothered by what was said. But I think we both know on some level it’s not very likely to get him fired. It’s 2 audio clips that are very very old. It’s a little different then what happened to Vic. Vick was accused of actual sexual assault. Granted I think it’s BS too. But claiming they’ll need to fire him because of a Twitter Lynch mob consisting of sjws really doesn’t seem likely.

Exactly love early dbz. I remember the other dubs they’re far from relevant these days. Funimation and therefore Sean became the main dub after the frieza saga More or less. It was the most popular so it won out That’s not including kai, gt, super all the video games, almost 30 years of him being the main English voice for the most famous anime character of all time is a huge deal. They won’t let him go unless they have too.

Also Actually if ya look around enough Goku in early dbZ English dubs wasn't always that man... Hell fun fact the VA of Rolf from Ed,Edd and Eddy once was one of Goku's DBZ English Va's .. If you are talking purely Funi's redub though then more or less Sean was Goku's va

Sean has been doing the English voice for goku in all the budokai/tenkaichi,/sagas games. And has been for years goku did the entire English dub for z and adult goku for gt and all of super. He’s nearly as iconic as the Japanese VA at this point. I think your underselling jsut how much matieiral and how much of an impact his voice has had on the series. I know many people would stop watching super if Sean got dropped. He’s the second most popular voice for goku of all time.

I see firing them not nearly as suicidal as keeping them on .. purely for in time fans won't care who voices a character for instance;remember some old DBZ dubs that had people saying the same about actors being the definitive voice of characters that said characters are still prominent to this day in Dragon Ball... I sure do yet now most say the current voices are the definitive ones.

While its more suicidal keeping them on as it won't just keep the Funi DB dub IP tainted .. it'll show Funimations double standard and Hypocrite nature to everyone and even turn away VA's aswell as make companies be less likily to license anime to Funi aswell as have the risk the longer they keep these Va's the more likely the plug will be pulled

I’m not disputing the fact Funimation is fucked. Toei is pissed. But firing Chris and Sean. Is just as suicidal as not firing them. They’re both huge names in voice acting. There’s no good out and if they fire them which ever dubbing company picks them up is gonna produce the most popular dragon ball dub.

Oh please fans of Vic and ''true'' DB fans who are circulating the audio everywhere they can have already found that this whole mess with Vic and even older anime scripts Funimation had messed with and then denied saying that was the original script till people who was fans rallied up to prove they lied already has Toei and other anime companys about ready to pull the plug on funimation being allowed access to dubbing anime and finding someone else to dub the animes.. So if they don't fire the VA's who did that shit chances are they'd be in even worse trouble then with those who aren't in the know or doesn't care about all this.. Mainly that is when word gets back to the companies who license their anime to get dubbed By funimation if funi doesn't fire them quickly ,, I say when not if on the word matter as I know chances are good at some point word will get back to varies companies and shit will most likely hit the fan for Funi then

Yeah but most of the ones they’ve replaced don’t have the legacy or renown of Chris and Sean. Funimation is on thin fucking ice and they know it. Firing the most well known English VAs for dragon ball is something they can’t afford. Sean is seen by many as the definitive voice of goku.

Oh I don't care about Broly it just pisses me off that Vic was fired over shit so minor yet a lot of the other Dragonball Voice Actors who had get Vic fired and claimed varies crap has done worse then anything that is confirmed that Vic did …

Anyway they can easily be replaced as they have replaced Dragon Ball Va's and other anime Va's in the past for varies reasons that was well known for their roles when either they redubbed something or a new series came about...

It’s a mess but Who knows what they’ll do next. But it’s probably not gonna matter depending on broly’s future plot relevance. Sean schemmel, and Chris sabat are more or less irreplaceable at this point and they know it.
