Shadow, even a little playful brattiness can prove to be a joy, providing it's done tastefully and in regards to the respect of each other. it provides a bit of comic relief and a means upon which an RP will gain its own wings to spontaneously soar to unknown heights. it can also endear the hearts one to another and form a beautiful bond...so i'm not afraid of it.
Like I said, I have a decent idea for a new character who is not bratty, more on the cuddly side, based off of a girl I like in real life. Anyway, would you like me to put together a forum page for this RP and post my character. Then you could post yours when you have one you'd like and we could start.
not sure how i would handle brattiness. i guess it would depend on the level of brattiness and the character it was expressed in. if it's outright defiance and rebellion i probably wouldn't feel comfortable. if it's a bit of playful brattiness, maybe a different story. i'm not really sure to be honest with you.
Generally speaking, my current characters would most likely be considered brats. However, that is what new characters are meant for, and I have a decent idea for my character already.
firstly, thank-you so kindly for your gracious response Shadow.....
a little fantasy is wonderful in a full realistic RP. it breathes in an inspirational breath of life that adorns the character flows with just enough intrigue and feeling to make it fun and delightful. just as a bit of realism in humor gives it enough credibility to make it funny as outlandish and ironic as it may be. my caretaker roles depend on obedience and full compliance for a strong figure, an *upper* if you will, who determines the rules and terms of how tasks and responsibilities are to be done. i cheerfully obey and support all of her expectations being pleased and even thrilled when i see her pleased as a result. it's very symbiotic and reciprocal.
So, you prefer caretaker roles and you would probably like to do a full out realistic RP. That's fine with me. I generally have a romantic steak in my writing, but can try to avoid that if you would prefer. I generally write fantasy, but a realism RP every now and again is good. So that leaves the question of characters. I shall let you decide and then based off of yours I shall create one of my own, does that sound okay?
my favorite roles are ones that come naturally for me. care taker roles big sister, nanny, baby sitter, mother's older daughter to younger siblings and auntie. i do best when i obediently help a mother who has high expectations for her daughter's assistance. i'm not yet into too much fantasy, never tried sci-fi, seems too far out i guess, haven't experienced romance roles. baby roles make me feel odd. i can't help but feel like a smarty-pants baby. i let my academic background slip thru the cracks too easily i guess. i also have a problem dealing with rebellious babies. it exasperates me.
