It's not only that but Broly will now have 4 films........4 FILMS. All the movies I love had 1 character that never returned. Only Resurrection F I enjoyed with Frieza because they recognized his weakness and let him grow. We never saw or knew if Frieza trained. That was a great idea.

I believe that Toriyama is trying to capitalize on the whole Broly, Kale, Broly not canon stuff. If he were going with a popular character in another film, he would have made something with Cell, people LOVE Cell. Or Android 21. Make a dragon ball z fighterz movie with a better plot than the game. The plot was not great, but it would have been great, and 21 is a HOT LADY to make a movie for. Hell there ya go, first female villain, appease the dumb millennials.

But the talk at the end of Super is how Goku doesn't know how to go instinct on demand. I want to see fusion, or Vegeta ultra instinct. I hope Frieza dies, because that would be hilarious. The things I want to see I doubt will happen.

My prediction is that Goku will go ultra instinct and will defeat Broly. Though I'd be okay with a stalemate, or an agreement between enemies, rather than one that must be the winner.

I'm still gonna watch it opening night because I want more anime in my theater, especially new stuff, but I'm disappointed in what we could have gotten, along with dragon ball super ending until the next show idea comes up.

Well I can understand your rage because broly is a common and not very complex character (especially his motivation behind hating Goku)


I also wish that they had created a new character from the sayian race like the original super sayian God to explain more about the backstory of the sayian race.


Now I think they have to make broly stronger because Goku is stronger then he was in the first broly movie so they had to make him stronger to make him more of a challenge for Goku.


However, I agree that the story will be better since Toriyama will be writing it himself instead of the jumble of writers they used to make Dragon Ball Super.


I am also afraid that that this movie will follow the same formula where Goku gets a new power up or like you said goes instinct in order to defeat broly. However, I hope that you and I are both wrong on that account.


At the same time I hope that the movie does well because it will make it more likely that dragon ball will come back.



I also think that they chose broly because of how popular he is in Japan and in the states, so when they made the movie they saw dollar signs with his character.


Also, yes the movie is going to be cannon based on everything that I have heard so broly will now be part of the cannon of dragon ball z.

It's unimaginative. We were going to get a history of saiyans movie. A legitimate start to the saiyans that Toriyama never considered since Goku wasn't going to be an alien at first. But instead we get a more powerful Broly, who will be a similar shit head, but way stronger for no reason.

And the movie is supposed to be a canon film, according to rumors.

I think the backstory will be great, but I don't give 2 shits about Broly. I was hoping they would involve Kale, or fembroly, but nope, not even getting that. We're getting more Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza, and given the usual theme of the movies, I predict Goku goes instinct to defeat Broly. I'm hoping to be surprised by something, but I'm not hopeful.

Well I was thinking about something involving the dragon balls involving a villan screwing a wish like when Goku became a kid again in that horrible Dragon Ball GT series.

Agreed because if we don't have a plot it is just going to be like one of those stupid slasher horror movies (or most horror movies today) that are all about blood, guts, and gore but no plot with stupid teens that you can easily predict who is going to die and when.
