Another avenue we need to ecplore is Mikey now loving his dad so much he can't refuse his dad either

Hmm, yeah that could definitely work. How about, "I wish Mikey loved being coddled so much that he can't pay attention to anything else around him." ? That way he acts like a big baby whenever Harold is around but realises and gets embarrassed at what he did when it's just him and Billy.
The again, Harold will do anything Mikey asks him to, so maybe Haorld tells Billy to leave, because that's what Mikey wants. Mikey get's a temporary victory, but Billy gets revenge on him later. I think I'm going to go with that one.
