Oh, you mean vBulletin charges for a patch subscription service with no option for free downloadable patches for their customers who have already bought their expensive base product? Even Microsoft's patches are freely downloadable by the public or on DVD via their MSDN subscription paid service. How very piggish of vBulletin! It's no wonder that free alternatives like phpBB (It's been around as long as vBulletin) are gaining in popularity!

That's just sad that vBulletin won't support earlier versions of their product (So much for "Customer Care and Support"). I guess that they're following the same business model as that of Microsoft (Windows 7 support will end in 2020 - Many corporations still use Windows 7 since it's so close in user functionality to Windows XP and thus has a low overhead in user training). But MS doesn't give a shit since selling Windows 10 is what brings in the big $$$ for them in software license contracts! And they're wondering why many companies are jumping over to Linux or Ubuntu instead along with x_Window (I'm not really an "Open source" type of guy even though I use FireFox as my main browser and even I can see what's happening)!

I think I know what may have possibly happened. I think that the friend that I spoke about used her smartphone to create the PM in question and it may have added some hidden control characters that may have confused vBulletin. I tested out my theory by trying to reply to that original PM again and noticed that the problem still occurs. When I tried to reply to another one of her earlier PMs presumably created by her laptop and not her smartphone, the original sender text is quoted. Perhaps this problem was fixed or at least brought up to the developers' attention in the later versions of vBulletin.

I saw your reply message to my previously sent test PM and can see that you are not experiencing the problem (Your reply PM quoted my original message). Thank You for investigating the situation. There's a manual work-around (Typing in the QUOTE tags and then copying and pasting the original sender's text in between the tags) that I can use in the meantime until the problem no longer occurs (It went away before [See my previous VM dated May 14, 18]).

LOL, he already knows that diaperboy187~! I mentioned it to him back in January 2nd, 18 (See the third VM down in -> https://diaperedanime.com/forum/conve...u2=4757&page=2). That's just the way that Stoner "Rolls". Anyway, his method of communication allows us to have this three way messaging~!

I tried clearing my cookies and cache but the effect was nada (The problem still exists), Stoner. I sent you a test PM. You can reply to it and see for yourself whether my message text gets quoted. Thanks~!

    Hi there!

Sorry to bother you but was something updated on this site? I'm just asking because an old problem that was already fixed has now re-surfaced -> https://diaperedanime.com/forum/showt...180/index.html. I know what a pain in the ass it must be to fix something on the site only to have something else fall apart afterwards! I hope that you don't have to uninstall or "rollback" the latest update (If one was applied).

Hey! How are you? I was just wondering - What's the reason (Other than financial) why Ai never created a "YuriAi" site? I think it should only be appropriate to have that addition to the sisterhood of sites since there's "YaoiAi". Thanks!

I received your reply PM and PM'ed a reply to it (The system quoted the text in your reply). The problem appears to be gone now. Let's hope it doesn't creep up again [Knocks on wood]. Thanks for looking into it~!

Hmm... There was no new update for Firefox until today (The version that I used four days ago when the problem was encountered was v.59.03. The latest version which I'm using since today is v.60.0). I just logged out, started IE 11 (v.11.0.9600.19002), logged back into the site, went into PM and tried to reply to my friend's PM and still saw only blank text in the reply message's body. That's very strange that both Firefox and IE are exhibiting the same problem. I sent you a test PM. Please see if you experience the same problem after you hit the "Reply" button (You can try it with Chrome, Opera, KMeleon or whatever browser you use so that you can possibly see the problem for yourself). IMHO, if the problem is being encountered in more than one browser, then chances are more likely that the problem is not on the client side - I'm not doubting you when you say that the problem is not on the server side. Was a vBulletin add-on or update patch recently installed?

Hi! How's it going? I don't know whether you noticed but I've been experiencing a problem with reply PMs -> https://diaperedanime.com/forum/show...97#post2974697. I just started encountering this bug just two days ago. Can you please investigate the problem? Is it possible that a recent script update "Stepped on" the part of the vBulletin code that handles the PM system? Thanks.
