It wasn't really anything major; just basically they said "This is my problem with x (my fave) character" and it was kinda just the straw that broke the camel's back for me. A couple of months of having your disability invalidated and 'compared to' others does that to ya. I'm just fuckin'...worried I'm on the path for a relapse, to be honest.
-
Oh? Wanna talk about it? Might help you to feel better
-
Yeah, just feeling pretty shitty to be honest. Someone at the comic book shop today was just fuckin' awful to me and like...on top of everything else, it's kinda getting to me.
-
Its fine my friend, hope you get in a better mood if I understand why you are in such state right now
-
It's ok, I'm just not really in the mood to take in a lot right now.

More akin of displacement from being used to how things are elsewhere then anything else, Sorry I don't explain things good
-
I'm not really sure what you mean, sorry.
Are you talking about PTSD? Or just general displacement?

Thought I'd chat abit about comics here ;Wanna know what I realized? One story that almost all comic writers if not all of them shy away from is dealing with storys that when for example you are dealing with Space hero's for lets take say DC Hero Hal Jorden so there is a face to the example
A story focused on 'Hal' and him feeling disconnected to Earth. Like even if he still sees it as his home, compared to all he has witnessed in space and the menaces he has faced, Earth and it's problems seem unimportant compared to them. He would stop putting attention while teaming up with other heroes. He would start forgetting names and faces and places. Maybe even some basic things from Earth would confuse him. Not because of some amnesia thing, but because he's spent so much time in space compared to Earth. Hell, maybe he wouldn't be aware of who some big wigs are at the time. Not because he didn't care, but because he was so busy saving entire planets to concentrate on the "little things".
It's a story I think really could work with many space heroes but its shied away from in general or only loosely touched on
Another story that tends to not often be touched on enough is where a hero gets so used to the strange and abnormal that its their normal and can't fully connect to the normal things if at all at a point given how that now is to them mostly abnormal

That's ok, thanks though
