Well, a lot of stuff has orcs, but not space orcs.
And now that you mention it I think E7 does have some weird reference to getter rays somewhere.
As for FLCL, most of it's references are to outdated Japanese culture, and I don't even understand them all myself.

Each pic from this set has a different story, contradictory to the others and equally possible as an explanation of Haruko's background. In this particular one, Haruko is a time traveler and her various accouterments are loot from the different time periods she's visited. Her moped and guitar are getter ray technology from the '70's (although which century is not stated) and her diapers are from a century later. On the package, they state "for children with complete urinary and fecal incontinence" although Haruko is neither of these, just a DL out enjoying herself in an isolated field. Oh, and the pacifier is space orc technology from the year 40000.
