lastly there is the movie prop mummy costume, cursed as usual and someone puts on as a party costume and literally becomes the mummy and has to live life as an undead being until a spell gets broken.

than there is start back in ancient Egypt when a prince of princess gets cursed, dies, gets mummified, time passes and they wind up in an Egypt exhibit that travels the world someone accidentally lifts the curse, people lose it when they realize they brought a mummy back to life, and so on.

well story bases I've seen that are well used are class field trips to the local museum hosting an Egyptian exhibit, the usual someone accidentally brings the mummy back to life and than strange stuff happens.
