FYI - Visual Novel = Eroge = H-game. All of those terms refer to the same thing! So my hunch was right - The anime is based on the game.

Did you set up all of your holiday decorations yet?

Come to think of it, I remember an eroge game (H-game) called Fate/Stay Night -> https://vndb.org/v11 but wasn't sure if it was related to the anime called Fate that you're talking about. Do you know whether the anime is based on the game or if the game is based on the anime? I'm betting that the former is true as I have seen other animes like Popotan which were based on an eroge game! -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popotan. You can watch the entire Popotan series (Would you believe that the anime was geared towards children?) here -> https://kissanime.to/Anime/Popotan-Dub

yeah well I can understand that easy enough its still won't help me enjoy it. I watch for the characters so no matter how well a story is if theres no one there to keep me invested I just wind up not enjoying it. Its a bad flaw I have. Its why I don't like things like Death Note.

ehhh can't help you there as I know nothing about tech and i honest hate FPS games so.

Its reallyy good but you should watch it in a set order so it makes sense. Start with Fate Zero then watch Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works. I wound up watching along wih some live reactions of it on Youtube so I cheated in a way but you can likely find it on just about any anime sight since its very popluar.

I saw "Akame Ga Kill" when it aired on Toonami. It affected me in the exact same way that watching "Blood+" affected me. At first, I thought the ending sucked since I had invested a lot of time and emotions into the main character as well as the supporting characters that were close to the main character. But later I realized that the writers were trying to depict the realities of life - That not everything ends happily like in a fairy tale, so as to make the anime appear more true to life, which is what artists strive for their creations to do ("Art imitating life"). I guess it's sort of like eating Dark Chocolate (Which I do enjoy but can't at the moment because I still need to have an expensive dental implant and crown done - See? Life sucks, doesn't it? That's reality~!) - Some parts of it are sweet but there is also some bitterness to remind you of the realities of life. It's not that I enjoy watching that kind of anime (I'd prefer a happy ending for the main character(s) like in most other anime that I watch) but I guess that sometimes it is important to watch these kinds of "dark" anime to remind us of the reality of life after watching all of that fantasy.

I want to play "Call of Duty Infinite Warfare" but my machine (Core2Duo E8500 3.1GHz with an ATI Radeon HD 4850) is too old to meet the minimum requirements. I can't afford to upgrade my machine yet (I still need to spend $3000 for my dental implant and crown). It's times like these that I am reminded of the Mel Brooks comedy "Life Stinks" - You can watch the full version of the movie here -> http://tubitv.com/video/312185/life_stinks

Some of the concepts in Fate (e.g. Mages summoning ancient warriors of the past to fight on their behalf) sound like what can be seen in JoJo's Bizzare Adventure (e.g. The villan, Dio Brando brought back two fearsome Scottish Knights from the dead to fight the hero, JoJo). Fate sounds like a good anime series. If I have the time, I might look into it. Where are you watching it?

Yeah well I might be a bit to eager to brush things off with out really giving them a try but from what I have seen a lot of anime these days are trying to be really dark. A friend said Akame Ga Kill was good but I know enough about it to know almost everyone dies so I'm not going to watch it since I tend to get attached to characters and when they die I get really mad or upset and that ruins the show for me. I wont Lie as much as I am into DBZ there was a point in it that I was thinking about dropping it since Friza had killed Vegeta and he was really the only character I was invested in at the time.

Well I play Final Fantasy games, The Tales series as well as the Disgaea series so its a healthy mix of different play styles.

As for fate lets see if I can sum up the idea. Three mage familes created a "Holy Grail" That can grant any wish. These familes had been friends up to this point but they broke into a war over it not long after it had been made. This leads to a Holy grail war every set amount of years where seven mages are picked by the grail it self. These mages gain the abilty to summon heros from the past as Servants and the seven battle to the death with the last one standing getting there wish. Its got people like King Arthur, Gilgamesh, and Alexander the Great in it though they do have a neat twist with Arthur ^.^

Are you kidding? "Kill La Kill" was a very popular series (At least here anyway)! I enjoy some long running series (e.g. Inuyasha) as long as I don't miss too many episodes in between (Otherwise it gets hard to piece together the entire story arc with the stuff that I missed).

I'm not really a fan of JRPGs (The battle systems are not realistic enough for my liking and the characters are too small, though cute, when a player is traveling on a map - Also, in a real battle, combatants don't take turns attacking one another or pause to select their attack) though I have played Turn-based tactical games like Star Wars:KOTOR, SW:KOTOR II and Turn-based strategy games (Like Star Trek: Birth of The Federation) in the past (Mainly because I'm a fan of Star Wars and Star Trek). I'm more into FPS, FPP adventure games, some puzzle games (Like Machinarium), some simulation games (Like Goat Simulator) and Eroges (aka H-Games - I won't list them since you'll probably be offended by some of the "Sexist" themes. There are some good yuri [Girl on girl] titles that I enjoy like Demon Master Chris ["Chris" is a girl] - It actually has a dungeon that you can "navigate" and encounter and "fight" various demon girls).

Well, all I can say about the reactions that you're getting is that on the flip side, those peeps probably are not into the stuff that you would like to RP in. So whenever you get an annoyed reaction like "Why would you never watch it?", you can counter by asking them about the stuff you would prefer to RP in and if those peeps react in the same fashion as you did towards the stuff that they liked then you can say to them "See? Shoe's on the other foot!". Afterwards, you could try to then discuss other anime that you both would like to RP in and the two of you could then try to come to some common ground to RP in, otherwise you can tell them: "Hasta la vista, Baby!"

No. Other than from you (Seven VMs ago), I haven't heard of "Fate" before.

Well the issue actually is that I'm more or less not a fan of the super popluar stuff out nowadays. the last anime that I reall liked was Kill La Kill. Before that I more or less disliked everything from when Bleach And Naruto came out till when Kill La Kill showed up on toonami. I love long running anime but those are a dying breed and the ones that are still going are ones I never enjoyed.

The same is with the games I like. I really ONLY play JRPGS and a very select few fighting games so any of the newer style games coming out are not my thing.

you have no idea how many times I get asked to rp in stuff I dislike and when I say I never seen it nor do I really like it I get these either annoyed reactions or these stunned " Why would you never watch it? " reactions.
