Sorry to push the point so much, just get hung up on stuff like that. And yes, nothing wrong with that. Just the idea of it being a big public / high society event rubbed me the wrong way.

There's no real indication of anything giving them any rank or anything, but mostly I feel it wouldn't be the sort of thing Fluttershy would go for. A big event with lots of ponies she probably doesn't know, all in attendence? Surely a wedding that would be comfortable for her, with friends and family in somewhere like a botanical gardens or something would be more her speed and I don't think Spitfire would want a ceremony that was open to lots of others that had nothing to do with them. I mean, in Canterlot is fine so long as its something private, like in the royal gardens with all this stuff going on around it. A relatively simple wedding.
