Slight Update - And a personal message.
 

Hello once again, DA.

I bring you a small update, and a personal message I'd like to share.

First off,
The moderator applications. They're still happening, but due to unexpected circumstances, they have been quite delayed. I have not got a set date for you, so please don't ask. But they'll happen - Sooner or later. ^^;;

Second of all, and my personal message...
I'd like to thank you.

Nearly four years ago, I came to this website out of curiosity out of unknowing desire. For as long as I can remember - Perhaps like many of you - I have had an interest in this sort of subject - Our communities - And it has ultimately led me here.
When I joined, I was going through a difficult time. Within months, they become much darker times. During those times, I fled into the fantasy of the unknowing, to become knowing and free.

That fantasy was what DA had to offer me. A little, temporary escape away from adult responsibilities and life's hardships.
Some of the people I've met here are some of the kindest souls I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, and it has pulled me through some tough times.
During all that, I learned so much. I become stronger and wiser, and it has been a great aid to help handle my life fully and efficiently, through all difficulties I've had to face - Past and present.
For it, I am a better man. And it is thanks to our communities that we have built together.

I came to you as a lurker. As another member. Afraid, angry and hurt. Now here I am - Four years later, as an Administrator here to serve you, and it is an honor.
I have never thought myself above anyone. Not you, not the team, not the leaders, no-one. I rely on you just as much as you rely on me, for I am just one man, with the hopes and dreams of a better world.

So I give you my thanks. Thank you, to all of you, for letting me here, and welcoming me into your numbers.
Thank you to my friends, who pulled me through the darkest times.
Thank you to the team, for showing me right from wrong when I was just a newbie moderator, trying to prove himself.

And most of all, even though the bastard will probably never read it; thank you, Ai, for pulling my ass out of a deep, dark hole, and for letting me enjoy the sunlight and the sky.

To all of you, I will continue to serve the best I can, to the best of my potential, and I hope we can continue another four years so that by then, you can listen to me ramble once more.

But seriously, you have done a fantastic job so far. I can't say I agree with all of your judgments so far, but you have proven yourself on more then one occasion, and this place has noticeably benefited from it.

Heh Xero's getting all mushy! I kid. but the place wouldn't be the same with out you and I for one am glade your hear! hear's to meany years of well being who we are hear on DA together!

I may not have been very active in terms of actually communicating with the community when I first joined, but I've caught glimpses of Xero's progression, as well as a bunch of other people scattered around the site, and I must say it takes me back. I'm glad you guys were able to get everything sorted out, both with the site and your own lives. We've all matured just a little bit more here, but have still kept our childish sides~ ;3 I look forward to several more years!
