Naruto and Kushina met inside Version 2 of Naruto's Jinchuriki form. Naruto couldn't see her clearly at first, so he rubbed his eyes. He smiled when his vision cleared and he saw his mother again. Kushina greets him warmly "Naruto! It's so good to see you again, son. It's been a while. Look at how tall you've grown since I last saw you as a kid.

* - To those who are not aware of the relationship between Naruto and Kushina, this is not the first time that he saw his mother in Version 2 of his Jinchuriki form (See the following video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqq2ielX03c). When Naruto first meets her, he was confused as to who she was but quickly figured out that she was his mother (Or rather as Kushina explains, [a mainfestation of] her own chakra that was sealed within the Nine Tails demon by Naruto's father, Minato).
