No more, please

Hey guys, Robbie here again

I'm just writing to announce that I'm finished taking requests from this site from now on.
Two reasons why I've come to this decision:

#1: As I mentioned before in a previous thread, I take on too much at a time, that includes other drawing projects I have, looking for some temporary work and a lot of other things going on for me personally for a moment. But because I don't like letting people down when I told them I'd do something I feel compelled to finish off these requests for them... and because I'm one of the rare few around here who took requests openly I ended up with a lot of them and never really got the time to work on anything else.

#2: I came to sites like these to network with people and make friends, but because I'm so timid when it comes to speaking to people that I never actually go up to others and say 'hi', this is mainly because I don't wanna bug people. So you can imagine how thrilled I am when I check the site most mornings and see I have some notifications... but lately it just seems like folks only use my PM box and profile page as a place to post what they wanna see me draw.
I know WiddleZetsu posted - in a similar thread by AD-SD-ChibiGirl - something along the lines of it being "a pesky form of flattery" well... it kinda is, but at the same time it's actually kinda depressing.
On one hand I'm glad you all enjoy my stuff but on the other hand I'm saddened that there are only a few folks who speak to me on a regular basis about anything other than drawing anymore, and one of them hasn't been online in ages.

For those who wish not to read long winded walls of text... basically it's eating up my time, and it's starting to make me feel like some sort of robot

I still have a few other pics I said I'd do for a few other people, but after those are done the only times I ever want to hear anyone tell me what to do draw are if they're willing to trade or commission me.
I may feel generous enough to start doing gifts for some folks, but that's about it

hey Im glad you didnt guit I now peoplee that just insted of doing what you are doing other sites well I put more stufff for you to read on you vms well to stay on topic

I beat it must suck when most if not all the people put a pm on your just for art

Thank you for letting us know, Robbie. The mods have your back on this. I know what it's like to listen to artists having to deal with the problem of people only to talk to them for art.

I'm truly sorry, 'Lil Robbie, that people would abuse your talent and take advantage of you such as that. If interaction (and not a bunch of mindless requests) is what you're looking for, then feel free to drop me a PM or a wall post anytime you like! I like to meet new people and I'll talk about anything you want or like!

Again, I'm sorry to see your talent withdrawn from the site, but I hope you find what you're looking for!

I wish we could keep like a record of the status of all the artists on this site or something because I'm really getting fed up with this.

A few months ago I begged people to stop requesting me because I felt like that they were all I've had to hear about from folks on the site, and because I have things going on outside of the community that require my attention too.

Guess what guys? Nothing's changed! Despite what some of you think I don't just spend every day working on pictures of characters in diapers, I have a few other projects going on as well. I have a comic idea I've been working on reviving for months, I want to try my hand at more animations, even then I don't get a lot of time to myself to work on those so it certainly doesn't help when folks keep asking me for requests

To be honest I've stopped caring about the notifications at the top of the page now because I barely ever visit the site. But when I do check them I still get people asking me to draw for them, with a few exceptions of course

I know I still have a few bits and pieces I promised I'd do for people, I'll try and get those done when I can. But from now on, please guys I really mean it, no more requests.

It's so much easier for me to say this in a forum post rather than saying "no" to individuals because sometimes I worry I hurt their feelings doing so, I just want to let everyone here know what I think... even though I'm sure it'll go right over most people's heads

Oh, and I've gotten one person so far asking for a commission, I'll get to the first part of it very soon

You should let a mod know. I think there was something in the rules about not bothering an artist about requests and such. If people are still bothering you about requests then they are obviously breaking the rules and can be banned for it. You could have me say "no" to them if you want. I could be like.. a bouncer for your profile or something.
