Lillian Pond was sitting in a dark alleyway shivering from head to toe. It was poring of rain and all the small girl had on was what was left of a old black tee shirt that was 3 sizes to big on here and went to her knees.

Lily was 14 years old and had been on the streets for about 2 weeks now. When she was 6 years old she was abandoned by her parents and sent to a orphanage where she was molested by the boys and got a number of beatings from the staff. When she was 13 she had had enough and ran away from the orphanage but with no where to go she ended up getting help from a stranger. Mark his name was. At first Mark seemed like a good man but very soon she found out he wasn't. Over the yeras she spent with him she barley ate, barley slept, was beaten and raped every day. 2 weeks ago Mark got violent, well more violent than usual so she knew if she stayed there any longer she would end up dead so she ran away. Now she was shivering in the alleyway her long brown hair shoking wet. She was very ill, pale and thin and had brsues and scars all over her body.

Nino was a young 19 year old girl, whom had graduated recently and was living on her own. Her Parents where owners of a large company which made a fortune and supported Nino with any expenses that came her way.

Nino was on her way home from an appointment she had with her doctor, she had no umbrella and on all days had decided to walk to her doctor. she was rushing home and decided to take the quick way home down an alley, when she entered she heard frail sobs that you couldn't help but wonder where they came from, She quickly spotted a girl under the street light and approched her, "Hey what are you doing out here your gonna catch cold!" she then noticed the various cuts and bruises the girl had, she gasped, "W-what happened to you?"

Lily jumped and pulled back into the wall hidding her face in her knees when she got closer. "D d d don don't hurt me"She cried. She was shaking all over and starting to hyperventalate. SHe looked so small and fragile it was unreal.

Nino gasped frightened, "Oh no! no no no, this isn't good...uhh..." without thinking she picked up the frail girl and craddled her into her warm arms she hunched over to sheild the girl from the rain. she carried the limp girl all the way back to her home.

About a hour latter Lily woke up. She was some where warm. She opened her eyes and sat up whimpering in pain a bit as she did. She was in a large bed and she had no idea how she got here untill she saw her. She cureld up again looking kidna scared "pl pl please dont hurt me"she whimpered

Nino made a sad face, the girl was scared to death, "Shhh...its okay hun I got you," she didn't know if she had the strenght to drink by herself, she had a baby bottle filled with water, the girl looked Dehydrated, she placed the bottle in the girls mouth to let her drink. Nino, even though she got everything she wanted. never was an uncaring person she was always a generous person.

She looked suprised by the bottle but it wa sthe fisrt drink she had had in all mot a week so sucked on it hard untill it was completly emtpay. "Where" cough" am I?" She asked coughing again.

Nino picked up the small girl and positioned her like she was burping her, she patted her back not expecting a burp but to help her feel better, "your at my house hun, I found you outside in the rain and you were hurt," she pointed out the bandages on the small girl, "I also put you in one of my night shirts the one you had was bearly hanging on you anymore."

"M M Mark" SHe whimpered tears in her eyes as she said his name. SHe buried her head in her nees scared

Nino nodded, "This "Mark" hurt you didn't he?" she said gently rubbing the girls tummy.

She nodded,When she rubbed her tummy she relaxed a little and did somthiung she hadnt done in a while and moved closer and started to lean into her a biut all most cuddeling

Nino smiled noticing The girl getting used to her presence, "Well no I got you hun, I won't let that mean man hurt you no more, okay?" she assured to the girl. "I'm gonna take care of you for a while until your well enouh and we'll find some place for you to go...unless of course you wanna stay here, but we'll see when that time comes." she said pulling down the blankets on her bed and covering the small girl up, "now its really late and you need your sleep," she smiled gently at the girl, "By the way my name is Nino, may I know yours?" she cooed gently.

Nino squeezed the girl alittle and smiled at her, "okay hun lets get these clothes of and clean you up." she said pulling the oversized shirt off the girl, and placing her genly in he tub of nice hot soothing water,

Nino moved her hands away letting her know it was okay, it was only them together, "its alright hun it's only us, I'm a girl too you know." she laughed as she took a wash cloth and began to gently clean the girl.

Nino quickly finished washing the girl, and her hair, and pulled her out of the tub and drained the murky brown water, "you sure were dirty hun," she said taking a towel and wraping it around the girl, "now hold still I gotta replace the bandages," she cooed softly taking a small pair of scissors and cutting off the bandages that were placed before and wrapped knew ones on, "There much better now lets go find something for you to wear," she said carrying lily gently into a spare bedroom she had.
