Category blocking

I'd suggest that you allow users the ability to block any image category they want, so that if they didn't want to see the Scat section, for example, it wouldn't appear on the list, and images from that category don't show in the Newest Images thing, the Random image, the latest comments part, search results, etc., etc., etc.

this feature is not currently planned, while l do somewhat agree it can be annoying (from a neutral perspective) to click on an unwanted image on the home page, with regards to the gallery itself l feel its easier to say if you dislike a section dont view it...

What he's saying is: Because of the latest comments and things like that, the chance that one will accidentally view it is very high, so the "don't look" thing doesn't quite work here.

I second this thought, to make it so we users can block what we want to see are self, seeing as at times with comments we dont know what the comment is to or just how gross the pic is there, for this is a good thing to do or just have with comments what part of the gallery its from
