Okay peeps, here's a new thread for peeps who want to share their tastes in music with the rest of the community, the newbies & other members who want to quickly "Beef up" their post count (If you're really feeling self-conscious about that) and the post whores (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/postwhore) among us - You know who you are! Don't just name the song to which you're currently listening. Try to share a link to an online music video version of the song (e.g. On Youtube, Vevo, MusicPlayOn (http://en.musicplayon.com) or etc.) so that others can also enjoy what you're enjoying!
:D

I'm listening to "Wiggle Wop" by Party Favor -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4DE1wxgMwQ It energized me enough to inspire my creation of this thread!
:)

The official Moutain Dew Kickstart TV commercial version of the song with CGI animals can be seen here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXV54IwG6bk
:D

Want to make the kitty from the commercial Wiggle Wop? Go here (Official Flash animation that you can control with on-screen buttons)-> https://www.kittywop.com/
Warning! - For those who are "Faint of heart", do not click on the fourth button from the left/second button from the right in the top row!

So what song are you currently dancing to in your diaper?
;)

Wouldn't say I'm dancing...I can't dance but well I do for what ever reason keep coming back to this song. It's a remix/origanal theme song that someone did for Yamcha. The artist is really good and has some nice DBZ remixes and origanal songs.

That's some nice Synthpop (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthpop) music that HalusaTwin composed. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us, Lazuli!
:)

I'm listening to "Tonight we are young" by Fun feat. Janelle Monae -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv6dMFF_yts
:)

BTW - I can't dance either to save my life (Except for The Electric Slide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mOY2eWO2qw) and The Macarena (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiBYM6g8Tck) in slow group line dances at parties)! The "Dancing in diapers" part was just added to the thread's title for dramatic effect. This thread is really about sharing one's musical tastes with the rest of the community. So, come on peeps out there! You like music don't you? What song are you listening to right now?!?

I found the song, Sorry Jack by Scratch21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb525VkPPtg awhile back and was listening to it when I hit this thread ,it sadly portrays my side of being hopeless with girls and oblivious to cues pretty well

But now I'm listening to Die Young by Kesha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgoYJIBNEYQ

Cool! "Sorry Jack" and other Skate Punk (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skate_punk) songs sound great for skateboarding~! They seem to set the right tone as mood music. I remember back when I was a kid, my friends and I used to go to the local park and skateboard on the concrete walkways and down hills all over inside the park while listening to '80s Pop Rock on our Walkmans (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walkman) (Skate Punk wasn't around back then). Nowadays, there's a skatepark section inside the local park with a half pipe and small inverted dome where teens try to preform tricks like the ones that Tony Hawk (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Hawk) did. Thanks for sharing, Bandit Keith!

I'm listening to "What I've Done" by Linkin Park -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sgycukafqQ. The thought provoking video clips inside sort of remind me of the black & white still photos in "We didn't start the Fire" by Billy Joel -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFTLKWw542g
:)

Does anybody else here listen to music? If so, please share what song you're listening to currently! Let the rest of the community know about your taste(s) in music~!

Speaking of Billy Joel I was at the end of the song ''The Longest Time'' by Billy Joel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_XgQhMPeEQ when I opened this thread now I'm listening to

'American Pie' by Don McLean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5ecvBaqHBk

Wow that was a flashback to my very early childhood years. Songs like "American Pie" and John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRgL92K5zuE take me back to the late '70s era before my early teen years in the '80s. Also, who can forget "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y198Ul8EAY?
:)

Speaking of the '80s, I'm listening to "Don't Answer Me" by The Alan Parsons Project -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLvFbBR4XOg, one of the songs that marked the transition from the '70s music styles to the '80s music styles for me. Another song that I remember that came before that song was "Cars" by Gary Numan -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldyx3KHOFXw. In 1998, a quasi Metal reboot of "Cars" was performed by Fear Factory featuring Gary Numan -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lERqGULWxs. Parts of the video have a "Mad Max"/"The Matrix" type of look and feel. It just proves to show that "Everything old is new again."

I'm listening to Forever Young by Alphaville -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNjQXmoxiQ8 Why? Because I want to be forever young!
:D

The 2009 redux (Solo version) by Mr. Hudson -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbkojVCo0GY pays homage to this timeless classic!
:)

Marian Gold (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_Gold), the longtime lead singer of Alphaville, shows that he's still "Forever Young" (On the inside, at least) in a 2013 Moscow concert -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2-pIW_Mz0s

Been listening to a song from the One Punch Man Anime ...

Hmm... That sounds great for when you're going to an upcoming battle!
;)

I prefer the anime's theme song "The Hero!!" by JAM Project -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QImBolnTVH8 (Official music video with English subtitles for the lyrics). It sounds and feels so energetic~! Even the musicians appear to be bursting full of energy and ready to fight!
:)

BTW - It looks like the musicians came here to shoot their video as I can see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, CA in the background of the opening scene (See position 0:15).

... I am now listening to Mozart's Requiem. ...

I also enjoy, on occasion, some classical music (Usually the pieces used by popular films as background music). For instance, I like "O Fortuna (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_Fortuna)" by Carl Orff (I was surprised to find out that it was not composed by Richard Wagner) as it was adapted in "Excalibur" (1981) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082348/) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db40S82sqic. In that clip a rejuvenated King Arthur, having drank from the Holy Grail, marches through the land on route to battle his bastard Age Progressed son Mordred whom he conceived a mere few years ago after being tricked into having sex with his half sister, Morganna, the evil sorceress. As he marches through the land, the flowers, trees and fields bloom and come to life bearing witness to the lore that "The Land and the King are one." I also enjoyed Wagner's work "Siegfried's Funeral march" that was used in the same film -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ll4qS4anGo. In that clip, Sir Percival is ordered by a mortally wounded King Arthur to return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. When Percival finally returns to the spot where he left his king, he discovers that Arthur's body has already been taken by three enchantresses on a boat headed for Avalon for his final reward.
:)

If you're also into films like Excalibur, concerning medieval legends, I'd highly recommend watching Sword of the Valiant: The Legend of Sir Gawain and The Green Knight (1984) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084750/), another one of my favorite movies. The full movie (480p) 1:42 is available for free on YouTube (You need to sign in to view it) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Z8CmSOFahA
:)

BTW - I'm listening to "Nobody wants to live forever" by Queen -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Jtpf8N5IDE which will be followed by "Princes Of The Universe" by Queen -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEJ8lpCQbyw. Are there any other fellow Highlander fans out there? "There can be only one!"

Thanks for the "Heads up"! Somehow, I missed this animated series in the '90s. Luckily, those of us who missed it can watch all sixty five episodes (720p) on KissCartoon -> http://kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/The-Legend-of-Prince-Valiant
:)

... Listening to this now, by the way ...

Who doesn't like Cowboy Bebop? So many great songs from so many artists along with the exciting stories and fine animation made this anime a cult classic! IMHO, it could stil hold its own against the newer shows today if Adult Swim/Toonami added it again to its lineup.

One of my favorite songs from that anime is "Rain" by Mai Yamane -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9_p-nhZXLg (You have to love the organ in the background - It adds an eerie sense to the entire musical piece!). Another was "Call Me Call Me" by Steve Conte -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgdahnCtU0E

There are a lot of other songs from Cowboy Bebop (Both rock vocal and jazz instrumental) that I like but it would be too much to list and link to them all! Anywayz, I'm listening to "All star" by Smash Mouth -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_jWHffIx5E
:)

BTW - In the future, Kid Chimour, please kindly list the name of the song and credit the name of the artist(s) to which you're currently listening. Thanks!

Hmm... I never watched the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1751105/)" animated series, the source of "Crusader (Are We There Yet)" (http://osu.ppy.sh/forum/t/196637) but I have to say that song is pretty upbeat. Maybe once the ponies are "there" (Grown up in more ways than one) they might have another tune playing in the background - I'm thinking something like "A Path" by Nami Miyahara -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z94my_Xjus4 from the "Casserin Sins" anime. It's sort of a play on the old saying "When we're young we can't wait to grow up and when we're old, we want to go back [To being young]."

Thank You for sharing that poignant reminder of the unfortunate attitude and spending policy that our federal govenment is taking in regards to the care of our veterans (https://www.nationalpriorities.org/blog/2014/11/11/how-much-do-we-spend-our-nations-veterans/), AB DC! It makes you wonder that if funds were diverted from the US Department of Defense for the cost of making two or three of the higher end ICBM (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missle)s (https://www.quora.com/How-much-does-an-intercontinental-ballistic-missile-ICBM-cost) which IMHO, we already have enough of a supply (Hundreds scattered across in stationary silos, roaming submarines and patroling strategic bombers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_and_weapons_of_mass_destruction#Land-based_ICBMs). Note: I'm not saying that we should get rid of all of our nuclear deterrants - That would be a stupid idea for our defense!) and redirected to the US Department of Veterans Affairs which is supposed to help prevent the situation depicted in the video to which you linked (They're supposed to help veterans get the proper medical help [Ever been to a VA hospital? People say it is a nightmare to stay in one.], get the proper training for jobs, find jobs, get off of any drug addictions and/or find a home if necessary but like the video said, the resources to do so just aren't available.) the situation would be less dire!

Hmm... The current political situation reminds me of what some people thought about President Ronald Reagan back in the 80's during the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union - Many people thought that Reagan was going to start World War III with his talk about implementing SDI (http://www.coldwar.org/articles/80s/SDI-StarWars.asp) (Strategic Defense Initiative aka The "Star Wars" program) which people thought would provoke the Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, into considering a further escalation of the nuclear arms race. Luckily, Gorbachev was a man of peace and it worked out in the end with the Soviet Union dissolving and the Cold War ending. So in retrospect, Ronald Reagan was the strong President that America actually needed rather than a troublemaker. I think it would be safe to say that we all have to keep an eye on Donald Trump for the next four years and then eventually let history decide if he really is a hero or a villain.

I'm reminiscing and listening to "Land of Confusion" by Genesis -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHmH1xQ2Pf4 It features the puppets from "Spitting Image (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spitting_Image)".

The vocalist in the first two songs has a nice, mellow, relaxing tone. The last two (Instrumental) songs sound good in the background for the RPG games.

Ah, YUI singing "Again", the first opening song from FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It's certainly energetic. I like Miho Fukuhara's rendition of "Let it Out", the second ending from the same anime, for times when I'm feeling depressed -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdEm7-mIdP0. It helps to pick me up afterwards. There were a lot of good songs from that anime. That's not risque by today's standards but back then in the '60s, I'm sure that that song was probably forbidden to be listened to in many conservative homes. Another song that was probably even more provocative back then was Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walking" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2fPkzJsMU8 (Keep an eye on each girls' dress line and you'll be pleasantly surprised). I first heard the song playing in the background when watching Full Metal Jacket (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093058/). I guess that the modern day equivalent of Nancy Sinatra's video would be one with girls Twerking to "Wiggle Wop" by Party Favor (Just try to keep up with on those jiggly buns!) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlDa-7ea-EM

Hmm... There is a Wikipedia article which only describes what the song is about but does not speak of the song's [obscure?] origins. It says that a young lady is shy about wearing the then provocative style of swim suit and also mentions that bikinis were risque back in the 60s as they were still not yet considered to be mainstream women's swim wear -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itsy_Bitsy_Teenie_Weenie_Yellow_Polkadot_Bikini#Im pacti (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itsy_Bitsy_Teenie_Weenie_Yellow_Polkadot_Bikini).

... Anyway right now I'm listening to pretty much all the songs to a old animated movie that was a big part of my childhood as I seemed to back then be addicted to the movie and cartoon of it as a kid and its still a cute movie to me anyway the movie is Pippi Longstocking ...

I never saw the 1997 animated series or 1997 animated feature length movie but I actually remember seeing the 1969 live action movie, "Pippi Longstocking (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366905/?ref_=tt_rec_tti)" as a little kid in elementary school (By then the movie was considered a children's classic film). My school played an old 16MM film print on a movie projector. I recall that it had some singing (e.g. There is a part where Pippi sings her name - I think the lyrics went something like "I am Pippi Longstocking. If you say it fast it's funny. Pippi Longstocking. How I love my happy name.") and crazy antics (e.g. Pippi easily lifting up adults into the air and then throwing them into the ground with her bare hands). If you're interested, You can stream the entire live action movie online at -> http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x21wzox_pippi-longstocking-1969_shortfilms

For those interested, the official Queen video of the song is at -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4Mc-NYPHaQ

That video reminds me of the LGBT message (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I'm_Coming_Out#LGBT_Significance) behind the song "I'm coming out" by Diana Ross -> (Live concert version) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzpP0KbjHU8 and (Music studio recorded version) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-mjl63e0ms

I'm listening to "Roundabout" by YES -> (Live concert version) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmZoQFYYx8U. It's before my time but it's recently been stuck in my head since I've been following the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" anime. Who doesn't love the music behind any of the Disney feature length animated films? The songs often reflect the style of of those found in Broadway musicals! This song in particular, seems to have a universal appeal the World over as there is an official version sung in twenty five major languages released by the Walt Disney Animation Studios -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC83NA5tAGE.

To be fair I'm not old enough to have known Video killed the radio star or The Tide is High when it was common to find in stores or even when they was on the radio commonly but I love listening to older music they have a charm and style that in general is special to the era they was made for granted their are songs made after a era that can have that charm and style of a kind of past era but thats not very common from what I gather

Anyway today I've been binging Disney and other so called ''kid'' movies soundtracks both because I like them and needed a abit of a cheering up so yeah the current song I got on right now is'' the gospel truth'' from the Hercule movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRq7lLawQB4

Note I put ''kid'' like that as a Walt Disney quote and another dudes-who's name I can't recall right now- quote both I can't recall how they go for sure but basically movies and animation aren't just for kids no matter what is said and other things we see as childish in media isn't childish unless we let it be seen as childish by ourselves which in turn make us childish for viewing things as childish

I think it's a severely underrated style--especially because the kinds of people who like it generally don't like Smooth Jazz, and that's usually what people think of when they hear the word "Jazz".

LOL! I guess that song was kind of a rebuttal to "Back to the USSR" by The Beatles -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h15XWqQQBbs. The Beatles were long before my time but they had a lot of good songs which still are played over the air and streamed online - In fact, I remember one song lead by Ringo Starr called "The No No Song" which I was surprised to hear from a member of the 60s generation (I heard it on the oldies station back when I was a little kid in grade school) which was known for promoting the "Drug culture" (Marijuana mostly) and "Free love" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZN_8M4OpMo

Nu Jazz (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nu_jazz) is kinda weird though, because lots of things can be described as that. The style I linked was pretty close to Ambient Hip Hop, which is another style that is different from what people think it is. It's primary focus is not on being the background music for monotonous vocals, but instead to stand on its own with catchy melodies.

Hmm... Some of the commenters in the YouTube video featuring DJ Whitesmith's music say that this genre was started by peeps like Nujabes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nujabes). Nujabes, a composer, contributed his style of music to many of the main and background songs in Samurai Champloo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samurai_Champloo) like "Aruarian Dance" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYRDgd3Tb44. No wonder DJ Whitesmith's music had an enjoyable, familiar sound (I loved everything about Samurai Champloo including the music - There was a good mix of "Tongue in cheek" humor, exciting action, drama, and Electronic Hip-Hop music mixed with Jazz and Rhythm & Blues [The mixture or champloo known as "Nu Jazz"]) - Wonderful!

Well, the vocals thing was in reference to the triphop--because unlike a lot of Hip hop, more ambient Hip Hop (Like what DJ Whitesmith makes) don't rely much on rap... Not to say that it doesn't exist though.
For example, re:plus, another artist like DJ Whitesmith usually goes between triphop and Nu Jazz instrumentals, but occasionally throws in rap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx58RUo53dg

Cool! M-Taku starts out briefly with some Smooth Jazz and then suddenly picks up the beat with Hip Hop Jazz Fusion (Nu Jazz) for most of the duration of the song with another brief interlude of Smooth Jazz followed by a brief return to the beat which is then finished off at the end with some Smooth Jazz. Agreed. Hiromi must have been practicing for years and further fine honing her skills over time. So, I am known by most as a lover of old stuff. I keep the legacy of the greater ones of the past high. Speaking for myself as a child of the eighties, I've enjoyed Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in The Wall (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrxX9TBj2zY)", Guns N' Roses' "You Could be Mine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vygQZ9hYqyE)" (Straight from "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" and later in a BGM cameo in "Terminator Salvation" but I also liked "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City" and "November Rain"). Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin were a little before my time, so unfortunately, I've haven't listened to any of their songs (Back then in the eighties like most other kids where I lived, I tended to listen to the current mainstream music that was being played in general though I know that both bands paved the way for future Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands to flourish. I'm not saying what genre each band might be in are since I know that there is an ongoing debate among fans of each band as to what genre of rock each band belongs - IMHO, it depends upon each listener to make that decision). I know of electric guitarist Jimi Hendrix (He was very famous in the sixties but way before my time). Unfortunately, my only recollection of his music is from times when it plays in the background in movies that depict scenes in the war in Vietnam (e.g. "Purple Haze" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJunCsrhJjg) with Huey helicopters flying overhead but that fact that it is included in such movies is a testament to his fame in the sixties.

For those who may wish to know, the official music video of David Bowie's "Lazarus" can be seen here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-JqH1M4Ya8). It was one of his last songs before he passed away from liver cancer early last year. It's sad (He looked so frail in that video) and eerie (Since he knew he was dying when he made that video). It's a far cry from when I remembered him as a vibrant young man, full of life in the eighties singing in a duet with Mick Jagger in "Dancing in the Street" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G4jnaznUoQ. There are so many classic games that are being "Remastered" or re-released in an "Enhanced Version" or "Definitive Edition" nowadays (Look at how many times they've "remastered" Doom - The last version being in 2016 [Maybe we're due for another "Remaster" of Wolfenstein 3D]) that I wouldn't be surprised if Mega Man would be remastered in HD someday!

Cool! I love "Chicken Attack" by Takeo Ischi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takeo_Ishii)! A Japanese man who yodels (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yodeling#History) in English! I don't think that you can get any more multicultural in a music video than that! It just goes to show that "It's a Small World After All"! I think it could become another internet sensation on the same scale as the "Trololo Song" by Eduard Khil -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z4m4lnjxkY! Thanks for sharing! Speaking of a small world, check out the English cover by Celine Tam (http://www.famousbirthdays.com/people/celine-tam.html), a six year old Chinese girl, of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titantic" (Fan edited video) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61BUEvu5r2k. I'm passing the time until I can play NieR: Automata by going back and listing the the OST from the first game, which is one of the best video game OST ever made imo.

Here are a few of my most favorite songs from that OST:

Kaine (Salvation) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDftyQ96ZVs

If you enjoyed Emi Evans' (http://www.originalsoundversion.com/deep-into-nier-interview-with-vocalist-and-lyricist-emi-evans/) soothing voice in "Kaine (Salvation)" then you'll probably enjoy Enya's as well in "Only Time" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wfYIMyS_dI

Old re-runs of Doctor Who are shown here on the BBC America channel, sometimes seasonally on PBS and season eleven is now showing on the SyFy channel but I haven't watched those channels recently. BTW peeps - Bandit Keith finally found the author of the wise quote which he alluded to in post #39 of this thread:

Note I put ''kid'' like that as a Walt Disney quote and another dudes-who's name I can't recall right now- quote both I can't recall how they go for sure but basically movies and animation aren't just for kids no matter what is said and other things we see as childish in media isn't childish unless we let it be seen as childish by ourselves which in turn make us childish for viewing things as childish ...

... Perhaps the other dude that you're referring to is the famous film critic Leonard Maltin (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjA0drsverQAhXkJ8AKHeNUC1oQFggrMAM&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FLeonar d_Maltin&usg=AFQjCNFpRsCoeQoH1eRCeqUQO1DNuzm31w)? For many years, he has extolled the artistry and storytelling virtues of the Disney Studio's animated films (Features and shorts) as well as other classic studios (Warner Brothers, Don Bluth, Max Fleischer, etc.) -> https://www.google.com/#q=leonard+maltin%27s+view+on+animation+ ...

I don't think thats the guy because the quote also mentioned when you see things as Childish then you are yourself being rather childish . I'd give the real full quote if I remembered the wording and who did it but that bit I put aside from me dumbing it down from not being as elegant about my wording but that bit seems rather true to me. ...

No problemo. Now that you've peaked my interest, I'd like to know who made that quote. Let all of us know when you find out! ...

He VM'ed the source to me today and I'm sharing it now with you all. It's a thought provoking quote that IMHO, reflects the core sentiment of ARs, ARDLs, ABs and ABDLs:

I finally recalled the quote I mentioned in that one thread you wanted to know I was thinking of if I remembered who did it and what it was;It was a quote from C. H. Lewis and the quote is

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/145...ales-in-secret (https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/145718-when-i-was-ten-i-read-fairy-tales-in-secret)

Perhaps Mr. Lewis' quote can be interpreted to mean "When we're young we can't wait to grow up and when we're old we want to go back."

Wait you mean that was a theme song to a show at some point or showed up in it? If not do you just mean you plan to check the series out? I ask as I never heard of that series then again I never was big on tv and sorta have just been finding shows I now like that everyone knew about thanks to the net. Partially do to I barely watched tv when I had it. I say when had it as well you know cable and satellite tv is more and more dying out as time goes on,well Cable is almost completely dead at this point-I'm surprised its still barely around thought it would be completely dead now -and satellite tv is getting pushed aside a lot more as time goes by because streaming sites are becoming more a norm as both you don't need to record something or be at the house on time to see it plus we are getting more stuff made and released on streaming sites only then later on dvds or download so yeah .

I liked the video part of the JCY music video more than the original by Sisqo -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oai1V7kaFBk&feature=youtu.be since it featured more back shots of thongs than the original. It was interesting how the periodic "Cork popping" noise was simulated by a Wood block (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood_block) instrument. BTW, also worth watching is the version of the song from Eddie Murphy's movie "The Nutty Professor" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUuzhFPSJWg). Other than more thong clad girls and the popping cork effects, there was nothing really new - Sisqo and the three members of JCY were just recycling the gymnastics moves that Sisqo already performed back in 1999 (e.g. The backtuck (https://media.wired.com/photos/597a11410c694f7e4119409f/master/w_424,c_limit/backtuck1.gif)). I'm listing to Alphabet Boy by Melanie Martinez ... I am aware of the controversy revolving around her from last year but I don't let that take away from the music of hers .

Well said, my friend. That's a good find for our diapered community! There was also great controversy surrounding Miley Cyrus's music video, "BB Talk", (Released in August 2015, two months after Melanie Martinez's "Alphabet Boy" was released in June 2015) when she actually wore a disposable diaper during its filming -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfwJA0f0UTg! For added shock value, she constantly drops F-Bombs throughout her song as she plays around as a baby girl along with some risque adult moves for which she is famously/infamously known for incorporating into her videos in the past which IMHO, kind of detracts from this music video (Again, this is for shock value - She totally destroys her Hannah Montana image in this video [If she hasn't already done so]). Some peeps in our diapered community may enjoy her adult baby play but peeps outside of our community might mistakenly interpret a negative message (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraphilic_infantilism#Pedophilia) while watching the scenes where she bumps and grinds herself while wearing a tight fitting, diaper-less onesie in a giant crib (It's like on the one hand, she's promoting the ABDL culture and yet on the other hand, she is unintentionally(?) defaming it by sending out a message about it that can easily be misunderstood for something else). Like it or leave it, it's Miley Cyrus's unique style as a music artist.

Unique style? I'm sorry to be that guy, but Miley is not unique. She's the same story of child star that turned to being slutty and/or provacitive when their window of child stardom slammed shut.

I'm listening to right now Going Nuclear by Miracle of Sound ...

That's an interesting song - The bass guitar instrumental part in the background (In the beginning, before any vocals can be heard) sort of reminds me of the '50s bass guitar instrumental background (Also in the beginning) in Elvis Presley's song "Don't Be Cruel" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_Lv6cHgnjo. The quartet vocals sort of reminds me of those in The Statler Brothers' song "Oh Baby My" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ceiLAkP_5Y. Thanks for sharing this great find~!
:)

Unique style? I'm sorry to be that guy, but Miley is not unique. She's the same story of child star that turned to being slutty and/or provacitive when their window of child stardom slammed shut. ...

I was just commenting about her style in her current career as a musician. I wasn't making a reference about her background as a child TV star in my previous comment (Besides, it's not like her life turned for the worse like what happened to child TV stars Dana Plato (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_Plato#1987%E2%80%931998:_After_Diff'rent_Stro kes) and Todd Bridges (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Todd_Bridges#Legal_issues) from Different Strokes after the TV sitcom was finished).

Remember, I had previously said:
... Like it or leave it, it's Miley Cyrus's unique style as a music artist.

https://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/blankstare.gif

... don't mistake a mulcrum of talent for being unique amongst the countless others in her situation.

Even if you don't like her musical talent (I wasn't a fan of all the F-bombs that she was dropping during her video - IMHO, It kind of "takes away" a bit of class from the performance), wouldn't you'd say that her style is indeed unique enough to shock general audiences (Wearing a disposable diaper and somewhat acting like a baby girl in a music video that is broadcast for the whole World to see is not unique enough)? It's so much so that peeps are calling her the next Madonna -> http://www.debate.org/opinions/do-you-think-miley-cyrus-is-the-new-madonna. Madonna was the "Queen of Pop [And shock]" back in her day, pulling stunts like fingering herself on stage at live concerts (She even included it in an impromptu "How to" demo -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLG-rwA-cyU). Madonna showed that she still "Has what it takes" to shock when she flashed her butt in public during the 2015 Grammy Awards -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSVduQD-yog).

Speaking of class acts, I'm listening to "Words Get in the Way" by Gloria Estefan (The official video is not available but a good fan made video with lyrics can be seen here) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvN9liGYfuc (As well as a live version of her in concert) -> https://www.vevo.com/watch/gloria-estefan/words-get-in-the-way-(from-live-and-unwrapped)/USSM20702729

Hmm ... The title of that kawaii (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawaii) sounding song, "かくしぇーむ", by CY8ER (https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/CY8ER&prev=search) literally translates as "To hide" (Can anyone offer a more accurate translation? Google Translate only does "Word for word" machine translations so, I think that something possibly "Got lost in the translation").
:)

It's interesting that you're into Jpop that is not associated with an anime series (Most of the jPop songs that I've come across and enjoyed are from sources like Full Metal Alchemist, FMA Brotherhood, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Code Geass, FLCL and etc). There are a few songs that are not associated with any anime and that I've enjoyed like "Monochrome Effect" by Perfume -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTapUWykyLM (I found out about that song from "May the Best Stan Win", the twelth episode in the sixth season of American Dad (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0397306/)) and "PON PON PON" by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzC4hFK5P3g - I stumbled upon "PON PON PON" while searching for the official video for "CaramellDansen" (Swedish for "Caramell Dance") by the Swedish pop group Caramell -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-8E4Nirh9s (Cleaned up HD version here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-8E4Nirh9s).

Some portions of the vocals in that song "守護霊" ("Guardian Spirit"), sound like it was digitized by an Auto-Tune (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-Tune) processor (Hear audio samples in the "Reception (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-Tune#Reception)" section of the linked article). Thanks for sharing the link to "Go Cry Go" by OxT. I have to admit that I've only come across very few J-Metal songs myself - Most recently, I came across "Raise Your Flag" by Man With A Mission, the opening song from the first season of Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PUOQ6QdTpM (Also if you have the chance, check out their official music video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-UN6uRMBRw) and "Survivor" by Blue Encount (HD, uncut version [Not Toonami version])-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNh6ltDBQFY, the opening song from the second season of the series.

Johnny Cash's cover rendition of the song (With lyrics in subtitles) is also as poignant -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt1Pwfnh5pc. Yeah, The Rick and Morty episode where Bird Person gets married then betrayed and killed by his bride Tammy Gueterman, brought me there (Though I've listened to some Johnny Cash songs before like "Ring of Fire" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It7107ELQvY and "HighwayMan" (He sings the last part of the song as a member of the former musical group, The Highwaymen) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFkcAH-m9W0.

I'd also like to mention that I've recently discovered a cute, energetic JMetal video that peeps here might enjoy - It's "Catch Me If You Can" by BABYMETAL (Live in concert) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKwscPp1kLs. The two girls that flank the older, lead female singer (Named Su-metal) appear to be around sixteen years old (Named Yuimetal and Maometal) when the song was released back in 2014. Also, the backup band looks cool with their faces painted up to look like Noh (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noh) masks and all of the girls imitate kitsunemimi (https://aminoapps.com/c/neko/page/blog/reasons-i-love-kitsunemimi/8BJc_munVammQp1NVe1Pwx32oPQN10q) with their little cat clawing in the air~! Thanks for sharing the official music video of the song "Pixel Galaxy" called "Snail's House" by Ujico~!

For all you guys and gals that enjoy creative, independent animation, here's a highly acclaimed, wonderful animated short made by three students (Names not given) from the National Taiwan University of Arts about a little blind girl looking for her dog named Gogo called "Out of Sight" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qCbiCxBd2M. Thanks for sharing the insert song (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InsertSong) in the ninth episode of SAO Alternative Gun Gale Online, "Disorder" by ReoNa (http://www.reona-reona.com/) (The singing voice behind the character, Kanzaki Elsa (http://swordartonline.wikia.com/wiki/Kanzaki_Elsa) in the anime)~! The tempo certainly moves fast in that song and rightly so, given that it probably is setting the mood of the anime sequence into which it is "inserted".

I also recall one of my favorite insert songs, "Stories" by Hitomi Kuroishi -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCbmwcqA66g from Code Geass (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_Geass). The slow tempo of the music and Hitomi Kuroishi's soothing, singing style reminds me of Enya (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enya)'s who is famous for "Only Time" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wfYIMyS_dI.

I've been listening to a lot of HoneyComeBear recently...

Thanks for sharing independent artists, HoneyComeBear (https://www.honeycomebear.com/)'s, "Mirror" Future Bass (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_bass) song. The Future Bass genre dance music song has a nice fast tempo, synthesized Bass guitar and other synthesized instruments (Drums, wooden bell and miscellaneous synthesizer keyboard (https://consordini.com/best-synthesizer-keyboard/) sounds) that finely accompany the singer's gentle voice.

I came across another independent artist, Michishige Sayumi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayumi_Michishige), whose song "Lalala no Pipipi" peeps might find kawaii for fast paced, dance music (Live in concert) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6TacYD2q3w and (Official music video) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6abVu-uFUaA.

Haddaway's "What is Love" released in 1993 -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEXWRTEbj1I is truly a song that endures the test of time. Nineteen years later, MrSolidSnake745 created an amazing electronic music version of the song generated by the Read/Write heads of floppy disk drives sync'ed by a customized computer program that he wrote -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk_XaJ7gE4Q! Now, a quarter of a century later, I come across a professionally looking, fan made compilation video released a few months ago in November 2017 by Km Music that features many talented (Amateur and professional?) dancers performing to the beat of this song. Check it out! -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPmBnnon0Ek. All of the dancers appear to have a lot of energy - I especially enjoyed watching the girl with the small pigtails in her front (She does "Fancy footwork"), the girl with the blonde pigtails on both sides of her head (She has a powerful presence), the guy dancing on the edge of the rooftop (Crazy legs!), the guy dancing barefooted (Bold, considering there could be broken glass on the street), the cute girl in the striped shirt and the sexy redheaded girl! Enjoy~!

BTW - Curiously enough, in one of the screenshots below (Taken from position 3:52 in the video), the cute girl in the striped shirt looks like she's wearing a light purple pullup Prevail brand (https://prevail.com/products/prevail-for-women-overnight)?) diaper underneath her tight fitting jeans (I don't know whether it's just an illusion created by the camera angle or if we caught a sneak peak of something real - With all of that jumping around during the powerful dancing, it's possible that she needed some leakage protection)!

It was a farce of a TV show that pissed on the sacred institution of marriage (Like two people could really find their "True love" on a two hour broadcast TV game show program!) and the literal words from the song fit the entire premise of the show to a tee (Although the aftermath was totally the opposite. It sounds like you just went through a tough breakup. It's never easy. All you can do is take it one day at a time and hope that time will eventually heal your wounds. Taylor Swift's "Breathe" kind of reminds me of another quasi-positive, yet sad song, "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" by Shania Twain (Official music video not available. Fan made video with lyrics) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt_1CyxMVh0

Not a breakup, though of course that’s what most of Taylor Swift’s early songs were about. Rather there’s been some upheaval in the family and coming to terms with a troubled past. Even so, I still find Taylor’s “Breathe” to be very beautiful and very therapeutic.

I’ve also been listening to “Man Against The World” from the Rocky IV soundtrack.

I don't know what exactly happened in your family's situation but it sounds like you have a long road ahead of you and it won't be easy to travel through it but still, you can only take it one day at a time. This reminds me of "A Long Road" by Dan Hill from the "Rambo: First Blood" soundtrack -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRGJDb-30C8. I wish you the best of luck in dealing with your difficult situation~!

I'm not in a good situation in my life either (Likewise, I don't want to go into any details) but sometimes I have to think positive thoughts for the future, otherwise I'll go crazy thinking about my situation. No one can change the past but anyone can change their future. In that spirit, one upbeat song from my childhood pops into my mind - I'm listening to "Nothing Can Stop Us Now" by Kiki Dee played in the closing credits from the movie "Stir Crazy" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSrXceIivkY

My favorite Elton John song is his special version of "Candle In the Wind (Goodbye Norma Jean)" used to pay tribute to Princess Diana at her funeral -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dg_MIysNGIU It was reported later that he said that he played through the heartfelt song without shedding a tear or breaking down during the performance (Even though he wanted to), as doing so would dishonor her memory (He [And the rest of the World] saw her as a tower of strength and endurance). Of course, it would also be a terrible spectacle to behold if he did suddenly stopped performing mid way and broke down.

@Terminator101 I wouldn't really consider myself a metal head. I love Linkin Park but that is generally the heaviest I listen to regularly. I love Cross Off namely because it has Chester singing/screaming but even the instrumental is great! I will be checking out the entire album Mark Morton is releasing and if it sounds similar, in instrumental, to Cross Off I will definitely enjoy the whole album. I mean I do also listen to the Gothic Rock artist Asriel (a Japanese band) and they do indeed sound like heavy metal in terms of comparing them to American music. I would recommend the song "Illuminate" but they do have lighter songs like "peony" which is a b***h to find on YouTube (I found it on YouTube in 2012 when I was in college). Since then it has either been blocked in the US or it is blocked behind YouTube Premium or whatever paid subscription they have. More to the point I do enjoy heavier music but I also have a love for lighter stuff and J-pop and even Linkin Park's One More Light album. In fact I have the chorus to the song One More Light from the One More Light album tattooed on my arm. I even based my signatre on the chorus.

I enjoyed Linkin Park's hits "What I've Done" (See -> here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2468845&postcount=5)) and "Somewhere I Belong" (See -> here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2922825&postcount=3)). Chester Bennington had a fine singing voice that could extend over a wide range (From soft and smooth to loud and screaming). It's a shame that he decided to finally end his life due to trauma from the past sexual abuse that he suffered when he was a kid.

I couldn't find an Asriel video for "Peony" on Youtube, Vimeo or Dailymotion. Perhaps the company that owns the publishing rights to Asriel's music, Pony Canyon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asriel_(band)), wants to keep it exclusive PPV (Pay Per View). Anyway, I rarely listen to Jpop outside of Anime (Opening, ending and insert songs) and VNs (Visual Novels). I remember that Tewi (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/member.php?u=13529) used to enjoy Jpop that is not associated with any anime series (See -> here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2951298&postcount=106)). It's too bad that you didn't get to know her before she left us (She hasn't been around here for months - Hopefully, she will be back someday).
:(

As a "Gothic Lolita Toddler Princess" who enjoys Jpop and Heavy Metal, you might like "Catch Me If You can" by JMetal band, BABYMETAL (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babymetal) (The group's female vocalists have influences from Jpop, so the band is actually somewhere mostly in JMetal but with a little Jpop mixed in) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_yATzyi-3g. I stumbled upon their enjoyable, energetic video a few months ago (See -> here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3021927&postcount=110). The band plays for around two minutes before the girl singers (Dressed in Gothic Lolita clothing) come out to perform (See pos 1:48 in the video).
:)

I'm listening to "Time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes (Fan made version with lyrics. Official version not available) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMoMBFhMdDw. In 2010, The Black Eyed Peas released a Techno reboot version of the song which they called "The Time" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwQZQygg3Lk.

Oh trust me @Terminator101 I know all about BABYMETAL! I have 3 of their songs on my phone. I love their music and adore their Gothic and Lolita clothing! I also did get to know Tewi before she left. She and I had an RP before she vanished and we mostly talked through PMs instead of VMs which is likely why you thought we didn't know each other. I do hope she is okay. I miss her. I know she vanished initially because her phone broke, same as why I vanished for a bit after I had to sell my iPad and old cell phone for money when I needed it desperately. I was very nervous to log into the site on my actual phone but here I am.

Like I said, Peony is such a hard song to find anymore on YouTube since YouTube Red rolled out a few years back. Asriel's music in general is harder to find since then. In addition to YouTube Red or Premium these days, Asriel also disbanded and Kokomi (vocalist) began a solo project named Misliar. Her music with Misliar isn't much different from her time with Asriel. She's definitely grown as a vocalist and has done more experimentation with sound from the songs that I have heard between both bands but her music is still amazing no matter which band she is with.

---------- Post added at 05:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:03 PM ----------

@Terminator101 use Google Translate to translate Peony from English to Japanese. Copy and paste the Japanese characters into YouTube search along with Asriel and it'll literally be the first video! I cam't believe I didn't think to try this sooner.

I guess that we all miss Tewi. She was a good friend to all. For a while after she had left, I was thinking about Nelly Furtado's song "I'm like a Bird" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roPQ_M3yJTA since she just "Up and flew away" suddenly without a word.
:(

It's a sad thing that Yuimetal, the youngest and cutest member of the group, left BABYMETAL. I guess that in a way, BABYMETAL lost their "Baby". The group has since added more musicians in the band and added backup dancers. They even have dispensed with their previous kawaii image in favor of a darker, bleak image (See informative video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQb4CVI9uKk).
:(

Translating "Peony" from English into Kanji had crossed my mind but the thought that the band released the song with an English name and therefore was the best way to go by for searching predominated my mind at the time. Good job on finding that song!

Since this month is dedicated to love and romance, I'm listening to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel (Official video released in 1986)-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kU8OJAOMbPg. Check out his exciting 1993 live performance in concert of his hit song (IMHO, his best performance - Watch this one if not any other!)-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evN6DIGPIJM, an updated 2003 live performance in concert -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK7Z83UbwKM and a latter performance in 2014 -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e63gBOVfVO4! He may have lost most of his hair and gained some extra pounds starting in the 2003 and latter 2014 performances but his voice is still as strong as ever!

BTW - I also like the Squidbillies parody of the song, called "Between your thighs" (See position 0:42 in the following clip for the beginning of song)-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO__je2qUKI. Hey, as long both versions of the song leads to things working out more or less the same in the end, don't knock it!

Beware! The Mongols chords are coming to invade your homes [With music]! No, I didn't mean "Hordes" instead of "chords". A new Mongolian Heavy Metal band called The Hu (Pronounced "Who") have already conquered some space in YouTube with their unique style of Heavy Metal that is a fusion of Mongolian folk music (Including traditional Mongolian instrument playing and throat singing) and Western Heavy Metal. Check out their hits songs "Yuve Yuve Yu" (Pronounced "You-ve You-ve You") -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4xZUr0BEfE and "Wolf Totem" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM8dCGIm6yc both shot in 4K, in breath taking wide open desert locations and with English subtitles. Watch the videos in full screen for the best view. Enjoy! - That's a command, not a request! LOL!
 :D

Not enough fusion music for you? Listen to Batzorig Vaanchig & Auli's song "Hunnu Guren". It's a fusion of Mogolian instrument playing, throat singing, Irish Bagpiping and Latvian Drum playing (Sadly, no English subtitles) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vztRqe_CHC0. You can still enjoy the melody without knowing what the throat singer is singing about! Some peeps will even "Pop an eye" when they hear Batzorig Vaanchig, the featured Mongolian throat singer, for the first time (Hint: Listen carefully to the sound of his rapid voice, starting at position 1:31 in the video, to get the reference that I just made - Of course, he still has an amazing singing voice to be able to sing all of the song's lyrics rapidly and coherently)!

Thanks for sharing "Hitchcock" by Yorushika, Tewi~! This song kind of reminds me of Rie Fu's "Life is Like A Boat" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NoPDyOEYkQ in that both girls are reaching out to others for answers to life's questions while knowing that no one really knows the answer, yet hoping that someone at least understands and supports them! This song has a nice beat with the bass guitar and synthesizer in the background that is pleasing and easy listening~!
:)

By contrast, I'm listening to "Manic Monday" by The Bangles -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsmVgoXDq2w, a song that describes how people are too busy rushing around in their lives to be able to spare any time to think of life's questions!

Been listening to Steve Harley today and have thoroughly enjoyed it !

terminator101
April 5th, 19, 01:00 AM
Hmm ... For some reason Steve Harley's singing style sort of reminds me of Bob Dylan's style of singing with the various sudden pauses in the tempo of the vocals followed by a sudden continuation! I remember listening to one of Bob Dylan's songs (I think it was "Like a Rolling Stone" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwOfCgkyEj0) from a historical documentary of the sixties (Before my time) as I was listening to Steve Harley's "Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)". Something familiar lingered in my mind for a while but I couldn't immediately figure out what it was until it just hit me - It wasn't the singer's voice that sounded familiar but rather the various sudden pauses and continuations of the vocals in the song that "Rang a bell" in my mind~! Thanks for sharing this "Blast from the past" (1970s), true blue!

Other songs that I remember hearing from the '70s era, not in a documentary but in an Oldies radio station when I was a little kid, is "Me And You And A Dog Named Boo" by LOBO -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTbBvPoxUkk and "In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvUQcnfwUUM! The first song has soothing, relaxing, easy listening guitar melody that's great for long traveling on the road. The second song has an interesting vocal arrangement - The lead singer's voice sounds like it's more in the background than in the foreground while the backup singers sound like that they're situated up in the front of the recording studio. Also, the lyrics were provocative for their time "... When the weather's fine, you've got women, you've got women, on your mind. Have a drink, have a drive, go and see what you can find. If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal, if her daddy's poor, just do what you feel, ..." (Also check out lead singer, Ray Dorset's thick and wild Mutton Chops sideburns that was popular in the '60s and '70s - IMHO, it sort of makes him look like a wolf-man)!

So unfortunately i cant dance what so ever ...

Don't worry about that, you're not alone here. The "Dancing" part was just added to this thread's title for dramatic effect~!
:D

The Temples music style with the chorus of four guys singing in unison kind of reminds me of that of famous bands in the '60s (Before my time) like The Beatles (See one of their hit songs "Nowhere Man" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93rSXA8aeG4 or The Monkees (See one of their hit songs "Last Train to Clarksville" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcXpKiY2MXE). I remember seeing documentaries about the Beatles and old re-runs of The Monkees' show on TV when I was a little kid.
:)

I see that your taste in music can indeed vary with the Death Metal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_metal) band Motionless In White! I'm into a little more tamer Metal like Guns N' Roses (See their hits "You Could Be Mine" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzLBoxtxu4E and November Rain -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SbUC-UaAxE) or Metallica (See one of their hits "Nothing Else Matters" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAGnKpE4NCI).
 ;)

Hmm ... The White Stripes video "St. James Infirmary Blues" sort of reminds me of the Stray Cats video "Stray Cat Strut" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEtbfzMLVWU. Both Rock groups' lead singer sings in a slow tempo that follows a steady musical beat and both videos show clips from vintage cartoons (Betty Boop can be seen in The White Stripes video while some miscellaneous cats from an MGM cartoon [The style of animation looks like something William Hanna and Joe Barbara produced when they worked for MGM in the '40s making the "Tom & Jerry" animated shorts).

Wow, you really are "All over the place" with your tastes in music! I like a variety of music as well. Thanks for sharing~!

It has a kind of 'haunting' feeling during the slower parts around the beginning and end. I like music that makes you feel that, like Overs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uIrXfVtXbI) (Simon and Garfunkle), and Hallelujah (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttEMYvpoR-k) (Leonard Cohen).

Welcome to Diapered Anime, KouCynder~!
:)

Don't worry about it. There are actually many peeps here with the same varied tastes in music. Some of them enjoy music based on soundtracks from anime series, video games as well as TV shows and movies. If browse this thread from the beginning to this current point, you can find them. For example, here are some of the songs that other members have shared with the rest of us that fall into the categories that you mentioned, so you are not alone! See -> here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2460523&postcount=2), here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2528843&postcount=26), here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2602061&postcount=71) and here (See my reply to what drifter 32 shared (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2702662&postcount=86). The Outlaw Star songs, "Hiru no Tsuki" and "Tsuki No le", are both now blocked due to a DRM complaint but you can now listen to them here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6ojLNsoi0w) and here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqnDsVEORXY)). Someone even shared a song featuring a Japanese yodeler by the name of Takeo Ischi - The singer had moved to Germany, fell in love with the culture, got married and had kids. See -> here (http://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2600722&postcount=69)~!

As for myself, I've always enjoyed the opening theme from the Star Trek: TOS movies, "Where No Man has Gone Before" and (Later adapted for) the Star Trek: TNG TV series as "Where No One has Gone Before" written by Alexander Courage. Have a listen to a fan made orchestral symphony of a medley of Star Trek theme songs from Star Trek: TOS, TNG, Voyager and DS9 created by SamoStudios called "Star Trek Epic Symphony: Where No One Has Gone Before" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SRu_anT0PU

Woah! That takes me back from when I was just a little kid just barely out of diapers (Yeah, I know. It's ironic now that I'm a grown man and I'm going back into diapers! LOL! I remember seeing a lot of "Bell Bottoms" on a lot of the older kids back then. Most peeps here probably don't even know what I'm talking about but you know, right Jaina Senshi?!
:D

There's another classic song that I remember hearing from the Seventies called "Cats In The Cradle" by Harry Chapin -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUwjNBjqR-c. I enjoy the soothing sounds of the Indian Loot playing in the background -> https://www.soundsnap.com/tags/indian_lute. That instrument leaves a mesmerizing, psychedelic feeling in the room without having to actually get high (Not that I do drugs)! Another classic song but from the Eighties (My time when I was growing up) that make heavy use of the sounds of the Indian Loot (Synthesized) is "Everytime You Go Away" by Paul Young -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfk6sCzRTbM. Looking back on his music video now, I can see that it looked like he was trying to somewhat dance a combination of the "Hustle" and John Travolta's signature move in "Saturday Night Fever", both holdovers from the Seventies, in the video's beginning part - Go figure!
 :D

Ironically I've had weird Al's parody of that song be my go to one lately the parody song known as '' The Saga Begins '' ...

My favorite Weird Al Yankovic movie theme song parody has to be "Amish Paradise" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOfZLb33uCg which spoofs "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio, the theme for the movie "Dangerous Minds"!

Cool! In the back of my mind, I was wondering what song was playing in the background of that Samsung commercial! I just didn't get around to doing it yet because life happens! It looks like BTS is following in the footsteps of other successful boy bands of the past like "Backstreet Boys", "New Kids On The Block" and "NSync" with their synchronized, smooth singing voices, synchronized, dance moves and solo member posing throughout their video. It looks like they're now World famous as they performed their hit song on the 2020 MTV Music Video Awards -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJCdkOpU90g. I remember as a little kid hearing this song many times over my dad's car radio back in the late '70s/early '80s as my whole family (Mom, dad and Sis) was traveling on the highways. I was too young back then to understand why the song made me feel sad whenever I heard it. After all, what does a little kid know about the realities of life when they think that they have so many years ahead of them with their family? Now that I've grown older, my parents are gone and my sister has her own family in another state, I fully understand why the melancholy tones of this song strongly grasp at my heart. I'm listening to "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty (Official video) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo6aKnRnBxM another great song that I remember as a small child from the late '70s. It was featured in Rick and Morty Episode 4 Season 1 "M. Night Shaym-Aliens!" (See -> here (https://rickandmorty.fandom.com/wiki/Baker_Street)). Some of the song's lyrics struck a chord in my heart and expresses a longing that I have now that both of my parents are gone: "... You used to think that it was so easy. You used to say that it was so easy. But you're trying, you're trying now. Another year and then you'd be happy. Just one more year and then you'd be happy. But you're crying, you're crying now. ..." I don't want to be sad anymore. I want be happy once again. Perhaps slowly, hopefully, in just one more year ...

I'm listening to "The Liquidator" by Van Der Graaf Generator. ...

Hmm ... I'm not familiar with that band but they sound somewhat similar to other Progressive Rock bands from the '60s and '70s like Yes which most peeps here know for their 1972 hit "Roundabout" that was used as the ending song in the first two parts of the "Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure" anime series. I actually first heard of Yes in the '80s as a teen for their 1983 hit "Owner of a Lonely Heart" (Skip to pos 02:15 if you just want to hear the song without the extra, non-musical footage that's near the beginning of the video) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVOuYquXuuc but by then their music style had switched to a mix of Progressive and Pop Rock or Progressive with Pop Rock elements (Probably to keep up with the changing times).

Now I'm listening to "Victory Square" (The whole album), by "The Dreadnoughts" ...

Hmm ... I've never listened to the "Folk-Punk" genre of alternative music before. It's got an interesting, headbanging, wild beat (Punk rock) and a bit of Country music or '80s to '90s Pop Rock with the electric fiddle in the background - See "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh7BZf7D5Bw and "Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_i9t7h8AgY. Thanks for exposing the community here (Those of us that didn't listen to it or know about it) to Folk-Punk!
https://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/blankstare.gif

Now listening to Maki Ootsuki - Memories ... eclectic taste in music.

I've only been able to watch a few episodes of One Piece in the past, but I remember this song as the first ending song for the original anime series. One of my favorite first ending songs from an anime is "Life is Like a Boat" by Rie Fu from the Bleach anime series -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NoPDyOEYkQ.

I'm listening to "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lyu1KKwC74. The electric violin plays a major part in the background instrumentals. I'm still feeling depressed that my parents are now gone but somehow, I still have to continue on ...

I'm listening to 'Zehn Kleine Jagermeister', by 'Die Toten Hosen'. ...

That's a fun and interesting drinking song. I haven't heard of many songs from German bands making it here in the US. The last one that I recall was NENA back in the early '80s when MTV and VH1 were starting out. Their memorable, anti-[Cold]war, 1983 hit song was "99 Luftballons" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpu5a0Bl8eY. If you enjoy drinking songs then perhaps you'll also like "Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2H5uWRjFsGc.

Now I'm listening to 'Wo sind die Clowns?' by Saltatio Mortis. ...

Hmm ... From the English translation of the lyrics (https://lyricstranslate.com/en/wo-sind-die-clowns-where-are-clowns.html), that song has a stark meaning that definitely reflects a need in the current times. Another song that conveys a meaning that comes closest or is similar in meaning is "Send in the Clowns" sung by Frank Sinatra in 1973 -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOUrnUktTjU. I also recall two songs from the '80s involving clowns but with unrelated meanings: "Cowboys and Clowns" by Ronnie Milsap from the movie "Bronco Billy (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080472/)" starring Clint Eastwood -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA7RGxbV9w4 and the ending song from the cult classic, B-movie "Killer Clowns from Outerspace (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095444/)" by The Dickies -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGVX033PiDA.
https://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/blankstare.gif

I'm listening to "Some Days are Diamonds" by John Denver -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUt2zDrddIQ. I'm finding that life still has its ups and downs for me. I hope to encounter fewer "stones" as I continue along on my journey of life.

If you enjoy "fusion" music involving Celtic sounding music then you'd probably enjoy "Hunnu Guren" by Batzorig Vaanchig & Auli -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vztRqe_CHC0. It's a fusion of Irish Bagpiping, Mogolian instrument playing, Mongolian [deep] throat singing and Latvian Drum playing. Also, as it appears from your previous posts that you're a fan of Heavy Metal music, you might be interested in checking out the international hit songs (4K videos) from The Hu, a Mongolian Heavy Metal band (See post #136 (https://diaperedanime.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3304109&postcount=136) for more details). Thank You so much for your support~! I'm still trying to cope with the loss of both of my parents and how I can continue to live on without them. On some days, the struggle is greater than on others, depending upon how frequently during a given day/night that my thoughts drift towards thinking about them while I try to concentrate with going about what I need to do for daily living. These last two months have been difficult for me with Mother's Day in May and Father's Day which just passed on Sunday, June 19th. Those holidays have hit me harder now than in the previous three years probably because I think that I'm finally getting over the shock phase of grief and the reality of both my parents' deaths is starting to hit my subconcious mind more than ever (I'm finally starting to enter the acceptance phase of grief). I can forsee that it will really take a while (A few more years?) for me to manage my grief. Only those who have already gone through or are going through what I'm going through can truly understand my pain.

With anime songs like "I Think I Can" by The Pillows from FLCL to encourage us, I'm sure that ultimately in the game of life, "We will Win" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvbR92b8NXA. I think that Reba West (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0286925/) did a great job staying in the character voice of Lin MinMei/Minmay while she sang, considering the fact that she is a voice artist and not a singer by profession.

Wow. From what you described that happened with your brother, it sounds more like he used something along the lines of methamphetamine or maybe even LSD. I hope that your brother has fully recovered from his drug abuse by now.

Even before the various PSAs that aired on TV in the eighties about "This is your brain on drugs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSFaDeRpSHA)", I was already "Scared Straight" by the various educational films shown in the grade school that I attended as a young kid in the seventies, about what regular [cigar/cigarette] smoking does to people's lungs - I remember seeing a burnt out smoker's lung that had holes inside of it (It was missing patches of lung tissue and the remaining lung [scar] tissue that surrounded the missing tissue was pitch black) and the dark blood and yellow pus filled flem that heavy smokers can cough up (There's a very good article with a sobering pictures and a video that illustrates all that I've just said. See -> here (https://www.news24.com/health24/medical/asthma/living-with-asthma/see-this-is-what-your-lungs-look-like-when-you-smoke-20160916)). From that moment on, I decided not to try to smoke or use any kind of drugs. I still drink but in moderation and when I drink it's only during social occassions [Social drinking]. To anyone reading this, my advice about drugs is don't do them. Get high on life instead!

"The Triumph Of The Will" is more a mockery of national socialism, than anything. If you make it to the end, they repeat the line "Oh Eva! Oh Eva! Come sit on my face! Berlin is burning, but we are the master race!".

The joke obviously being that Nazis are hypocritical/closeted deviants. And that they'll delude themselves into thinking everything is fine. Even when everything is burning down around them. It's funny, and not exactly what I'd consider an endorsement of their ideology.

Just so we're clear, I generally oppose all forms of socialism... some social programs to help the poor and disabled are great, but I don't believe in big government. Though, I should probably keep my politics out of this.

Just had to make sure people understood I wasn't advocating for that stuff. In the end, it was the eighties. 'Shock rock' was very popular back then. Oh, and by the way? The musical "Shock Treatment" is highly underrated. It's dated, but by design. I think Richard meant to make it offensive in parts, because it was designed to be a 'sign of the times' sort of deal.

And yet? With this musical, he perfectly predicted the direction of television, and the rise of "Reality TV".

Even though reality tv hasn't reflected us in a fair or neutral way, but then again? I never expected them to.

I'm glad to hear that you don't support National Socialism (Nazism) though there is a lot of controversy surrounding "Radio Werewolf".

For starters, there is controversy with some of their songs like their rendition of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walking" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKVHNaZTmSE which has the sounds of marching, goose stepping, boots in the background (As in during an invasion) as band member Zeena Schreck sings "One of these days these boots will be walking over you." which suggests Nazi Stormtroopers trampling over the backs of their conquered victims. I'm not Jewish but I can see how some people in the Jewish community, especially those that have lived through World War II, might find that offensive, horrific and pro-Nazi rather than as a parody of Nazism.

Next, the name of the band itself "Radio Werewolf" is controversial. Near the end of WWII, "Werewolf" was the name given to the planned Nazi resistance force which would operate behind enemy lines to spread fear and confusion as the Allies advanced through Germany (See -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werwolf). "Radio Werewolf" was one of the tools used by Joseph Goebbel's Nazi propaganda machine to attempt to spread fear among the Allied forces about guerilla attacks rumored to be made by the members of Werewolf. By calling themselves "Radio Werewolf", the band may appear to some as supporters of Nazism.

Finally, there was some controversial news in 1988 when one of the band members named "Evil Wilhelm" quit the band stating that he felt their music was being misunderstood by Nazi groups (See sentence beginning as "Though this was denied by the band, Evil Wilhelm quit Radio Werewolf shortly after the 8-8-88 Rally, ..." in the section "History" of the following -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Werewolf#History). If Nazi supporters can misunderstand the band as being an advocate of Nazism, it would be easy for those who do not support Nazism to arrive at the same misunderstanding.

Whether Radio Werewolf was or was not really an advocate of Nazism is still open to debate by many people who have listened to their controversial songs. And yes, "Shock rock" was a part of the Eighties as well as other forms of music back then. Like the old saying goes "There is good and bad in everything." For the sake of the future, we can only remain vigilant so that the good overcomes the bad.

... Anyway! I am now listening to "The Devil's Trill Sonata, in G Minor", by Tartini:
...

I never studied Classical music but listening to that violin solo piece has a calming effect.
:)

However, I have been exposed to Classical music through feature length movies. One of my favorite works, is composer Richard Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 (Obertura)" used in Stanley Kubrick's 1968 hit movie "2001: A Space Odyssey (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062622/)" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWF1glZWQa8. The score adds depth to the majesty of the movie and ties the events leading to various stages of human evolution perfectly together~!

I didn't know that they made a sequel to "The Rocky Horror Picture Show (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rocky_Horror_Picture_Show)". I do know about that cult classic musical but missed watching it - It was famous for Tim Curry's portrayal of the shocking Dr. Frank N. Furter, the space alien, tranvestite, mad scientist. IMHO, "Rocky Horror" did a great job in trying to shock its audience about the reality of things like the fact that there are transvestites in the World which is fine, as the LGBT slogan "We're here. We're queer. Get used to it!" also emphasized. It's too bad that this quasi-sequel didn't "Hold a candle" to its predecessor (Then again, sequels rarely do).

One of my favorite [dramatic] musicals is Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" starring the original and IMHO, best phantom, Michael Crawford. You can watch his captivating 1986 performance of "The Music of The Night" from "Phantom" at -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3NIK-nsI2g. It's a bittersweet performance as the Phantom tries to enchant Christine in order to convince her to open up her mind to the possibilities of her, an "Up and coming" opera singer, falling in love with him through the music that he can create with her; despite his disfigurement and his reclusive, homicidal personality. It's bittersweet because he is trying so hard [in vain] to get what he cannot have.:) :( :)

Ja, ja! Meine fruende! Either way, I won't apologize for listening to edgy music. Of course, you didn't ask me for one, so all is well in that regard. It's just weird. I've had this same argument so many times. People telling me how I couldn't possibly like 'Rage Against The Machine', because I voted for the 'wrong person'.

It's actually rather fascinating how closely we tie political affiliation to musical taste. Some say that those who love classic or metal are more inclined towards fascism. It's sorta like the 'Satanic Panic' all over again.

You're an alright guy, Terminator. I don't necessarily agree with the notion of being hyper aware, because I don't believe in 'guilt by association'. But I can see your arguments, and where you are coming from.

Saying this? I am currently listening to the album "Bloody Kisses", by "Type O Negative":

But, you know? Quoting myself, that wasn't the only band people told me I was weird for liking... based on politics, I mean. I'll try not to insult them anymore, assuming I already have (I probably have).

But these same people also took issue with me liking Pink Floyd... well, while listening to Radio Werewolf, Nikolas Schreck's vocals reminded me of this:

Like I said before, you're free to choose whatever music that you wish to hear. Just keep in mind, for your own sake, that whatever music that you may openly proclaim in public to enjoy might reflect negatively or positively upon your character as people around you might hastily form opinions about you based upon that given music. It's the same with the way that a person may dress - For example, if someone shaved their head and cover their arms with tattoos that depict symbols like a runic SS lightning bolt (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sowil%C5%8D_(rune)#Armanen_runes) or a Celtic Cross (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_cross#White_supremacy) just because he/she might like the look/fashion even though he/she doesn't necessarily believe in the current ideology behind the symbols, people might inadvertedly think the wrong thing about him/her. Again, I'm not saying that you do that (Have such tattoos) IRL. I was just giving you an extreme case to illustrate my point. On a lighter note, here's a comedic take on that point from "American Dad!" S4E14 (Sans the arm tattos)-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGZoAeBc3g0.

It's not surprising how some people would tie political affiliation with musical taste. After all, music is just another form of expression of people's (The artists' and his/her/their followers') thoughts. "Some say that those who love classic or metal are more inclined towards fascism." - I haven't heard of that particular idea before but I guess that it's possible for some people to believe that idea. I believe that thought might be limited to isolated cases in history and certain subgenres of metal but not to all fans of classical or metal in general. From what I saw on The History Channel, I know that Hitler enjoyed Wagner's classical music and the fact that the composer himself was anti-Semitic may have lead some to think as you have just described (There is an article about the subject here -> https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20130509-is-wagners-nazi-stigma-fair. Note: For those who aren't familiar with Richard wagner, he is the composer who created many famous classical music pieces that you may have already unknowingly heard playing in the background of a movie or an animated cartoon, including "Ride of The Valkyries" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGU1P6lBW6Q. Any one else remember hearing that in the starting sequence of each "New Stage" in the "Satan's Hollow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0SmK3yPCqY)" arcade/MAME video game?). But again, those are limited cases in history. However, the thought definitely does apply to fans of certain subgenres of metal like National Socialist black metal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_metal#National_Socialist_black_metal) or Neo-Nazi Rock (https://www.ojp.gov/ncjrs/virtual-library/abstracts/sounds-hate-neo-nazi-rock-music-germany) but once more IMHO, that thought doesn't necessarily apply to all lovers of classical or metal music in general.

You're a bit "Rough around the edges", Kid Chimour but "Your heart's in the right place". After all, you did try to warn others not to follow the path of drug abuse which you had fallen through long ago! I hope that you're now either "clean" or on the road to becoming "clean".
:)

Hmm ... listening to the deep vocals in Type O Negative's "Bloody Kisses" and the instrumental parts in Angel Witch's "Angel Witch" kind of makes me sad that Adult Swim cancelled Metalocalypse (https://www.loudersound.com/news/brendon-small-on-why-adult-swim-cancelled-metalocalypse) - I occassionally enjoyed the dark humor of that animated series. Dethklok's antics kind of reminded me of some of the opening animations that could be seen on the "Monty Python's Flying Circus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Python%27s_Flying_Circus)" show where limbs and/or other body parts get maimed or cut off of some characters but the characters on Metalocalypse still somehow come back alive, a little bit worse for wear, in subsequent episodes. I guess that for me, watching it was like an outlet for releasing stress.
;)

Hmm ... "Sento nel core", an opera song, in a video game? It makes the game's ending sound melodramatic. I've never played the Katamari series of video games released by Bandai Namco though.

If you think that you're crazy, just remember that we live in a "Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World! (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057193/)" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoLhuRp5IjM so, you may just be an "Average Joe". As a young kid, I enjoyed watching a re-reun on TV of that classic comedy movie (It has a lot of slapstick bits in it). It was also nice to see The Three Stooges, three masters of slapstick humor, appear in a cameo in that movie -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOfsNiQxfAo. And yes, it's possible that French Toast really originated from Germany (Among other possible European origins)-> https://frenchly.us/why-is-french-toast-french/.

Wow! Both PelleK and Raon Lee are very impressive! For many non-Japanese people, it's already hard enough to learn how to speak Japanese much less sing in the language at a professional sounding level in a duet with another non-Japanese person. I've never heard the anime's opening song as sung by the original artists who performed it so as to make a fair comparison (I've never seen "Mirai Nikki") but still, this looks like an amazing feat! You can almost feel the power of the singers' voices emanating towards you as they belt out the lyrics! Kudos to them both!

I don't know of any other modern, famous singer who was able to successfully blend two seperate songs of his own creation into one long one (Unlike Mashup (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mashup_(music)) songs created from two different artist's works) but I guess that's Elton John for you!

Hmm ... Now that I've listened to this example of Black Metal, I think that I now understand the difference between that and Death Metal. It appears that Black Metal appears to be stylized by shrieking vocals while Death Metal seems to be stylized by growling vocals. Interesting.
