hey im trying to set a signature but when i try im told im not permitted to have one, what's up with that?

You may need to have your account upgraded. You've reached the minimum post limit, now all that's left to do is to wait a week or two, and your account will automatically upgrade.

I think we prevent probationary users from using signatures to stop bots from coming in and putting unknown/virus URLs in their signatures.
