Charles de Batz de Castelmore, known better as the Count D'Artagnan, had been the son of a poor farmer when he traveled to Paris to become a musketeer. He succeeded in becoming the youngest man to ever protect the royal family in this fashion. Now, more than twenty years later, he and his lovely wife Constance stood witness to another momentous occasion.

Here, they were excited for something that truly thrilled them.

Today, the newly coronated Louis XIII would be inducted the newest recruits to the musketeers, four of whom were the first women to join the company ranks. The leader of the quartet was none other than D'Artagnan and Constance's daughter, Corinne.

(BTW, interesting that Tim Curry played the villainous role in both the 1993 Disney film and this same one. Typecasting to be sure, but he always livens up something, even it's not that good)

She was absolutely overjoyed to be in the same ranks as her father had been in before her.

(Ferngully is certainly evidence of that, plus he was the Rat King in the Barbie rendition of the Nutcracker)

On top of that, she had caught the eye of the young and ambitious king. But he would let her have this day to celebrate with her parents.

"I can't believe that my dream is coming true," Corinne said.

"You're earned it, darling," Constance insisted, embracing her daughter. "And you look resplendent in the hat and the uniform, in any case."

"Thank you for that, Mama," she replied.

Constance just smiled, and D'Artagnan went to offer his congratulations to his daughter's friends, Aramina, Renee, and Viveca, daughters of his own old friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramais. "You three are a credit to your sires, my ladies."

"Thank you so much," Aramina said.

D'Artagnan was especially impressed that Athos and Milday de Winter had managed to conceive and raise a child without killing each other along the way. "How are your own parents faring these days?"

"Quite well, actually," she said. "They haven't been fighting for a while."

"I guess we've all grown in our own way," Constance said with a smile. "Now, come on. Let us treat you all to dinner."

They all loved the sound of that.

The Count and his wife then led their daughter and her three friends to the finest restaurant in Paris.

Everyone proceeded to have the choicest meals they wanted.

Soon they were served, and they talked at length while they ate. "So, tell us about yourselves, girls," Constance bade them.

"Well, besides being friends with Corinne and sharing the same interest as her as wanting to serve the King, there isn't that much..."

[AJbestpony]

"Oh, don't be so modest," Constance insisted, "Viveca makes all her own clothes; she's quite the fashionista. Renee is a gifted minstrel; she can play half a dozen instruments. And Aramina... she's a born poet. She's memorized the entire compendium of Shakespeare."

"How lovely," d'Artagnan stated at that.

Constance nodded to agree, before smirking a bit. "And tell us, girls, other than her love for cats, what do you know about Corinne?"

"Hmm," Renee said. "We thought we knew a lot about her. What could she be hiding?" Corinne's eyes went a little wide.

Constance smirked again and said, "Well, there was this one issue she had when she was about half her current age..."

"Mama, please!" she said, growing rather flustered.

[AJbestpony]

That had only succeeded in rousing Renee, Viveca, and Aramina's curiosity further. "Well...?"

[toxic34]

She looked down. "I...I had to wear diapers until then."

[AJbestpony]

They had not expected that. Viveca and Renee both laughed a little, whereas Aramina seemed in awe. "I bet you looked adorable," she speculated.

"Oh, she did!" Constance said. "She was rather cute, and I actually was a bit sad when she finally was able to stop having accidents."

"We all have to grow up sometime, Mama," Constance argued, "And imagine how much harder it would have been for me to become a musketeer then."

"Corrine, I'd like to think you could've succeeded regardless."

[AJbestpony]

Corinne was touched by her parents' confidence in her. "Still, I'm glad those days are behind me." She sounded sincere, though D'Artagnan could have sworn she actually seemed just a little nostalgic.

Her friends also could hear that as well, but kept that to themselves.

D'Artagnan then changed the subject. "I noticed the way His Majesty kept glancing your way, darling. Surely you have, too."

"Yes, I have noticed," Corinne said. "I certainly dream he'd choose me. But I know he won't."

[AJbestpony]

"Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about that," Constance said with a grin, "When your father and I met, I was merely a handmaiden in service to the previous queen. Now we hold our own domain."

Corinne nodded and looked down. After they finished eating, they made their way to their separate homes.

Corinne was happy to be spending the night with her father and mother for the first time since she came to Paris.

"I'm happy to be here," she said, quite excited.

[AJbestpony]

"And we're happy to have you," D'Artagnan insisted, "You've really grown up. But no matter how old you get, you'll always be our baby girl."

[toxic34]

"I know," she replied, hugging them both.

[AJbestpony]

The threesome remained in embrace for the longest time. "Alright then, off to bed with you," Constance bade Corinne, "Tomorrow starts your first full day as a musketeer."

She nodded and went to prepare herself for bed.

[AJbestpony]

She hung her hat and sword on a rack near the bed, before getting undressed out of her musketeer uniform.

[toxic34]

As she did so, she paused for a moment.

[AJbestpony]

She thought it might be better if she took a bath before she turned in, so she went down the hall to use the family tub. She'd be gone long enough for someone to sneak into her bedchamber and make some "modifications" to her dresser.

Indeed, as she did so, Constance made her way into her daughter's room.

[AJbestpony]

She made her way to Corinne's undergarment drawer, exchanging her bloomers and replacing them with something considerably thicker.

[toxic34]

By the time Corinne returned she noticed the substitution and was completely dumbstruck.

Constance chuckled at her reaction, before justifying it with, "What your father did not tell you, sweetheart, is that while being a musketeer can be very exciting and adventurous, there are also times when it can be monotonous and uneventful. You will often go whole days just standing still waiting for something to happen. And you would not be able to leave your post for ANY reason."

Corrine was about to protest, but her mother stopped her and then immediately laid her down in order to secure a diaper around her waist.

Despite it having been nearly a decade since she last diapered Corinne, Constance managed to pin one up around her waist easily.

Corinne then found herself being tucked in.

[AJbestpony]

"Now you get a nice long sleep," Constance cooed, kissing her forehead.

(I suppose I should clarify things a little regarding what, if anything, could be done regarding the Barbie Christmas Carol. Essentially, all I can particularly imagine doing is taking the character of Eden and putting her into an entirely different story. Very anorexic basis for a potential idea, I know)

She settled in and proceeded to drift to sleep.

(It's not all that outlandish, actually. We pretty much did the same thing with others like Bioshock Infinite Elizabeth and Kotaro)

While this was going on, the young King Louis XIII was standing forlornly in front of a portrait of his predecessor, Henry IV. He sighed deeply, as he missed his father very much.

Besides that, he was also thinking about Corinne and her friends.

He was joined by the prior queen, Marie de' Medici, who could sense her child's dismay. "Would you like some company, darling?"

"I would like that, Mama," he said, going all the way to the bedchamber.

[AJbestpony]

She kept her arm around his waist protectively. "I know you miss your father. I do, too. It's been so long since he was murdered, and I still wake up constantly, thinking I'll find him at my side. But I comfort myself knowing you are here."

Louis nodded and then was suddenly being undressed by his mother.

[AJbestpony]

She got him undressed down to the nappies he wore around his waist. He had been in them since he was nine, when he started having accidents after his father was killed.

If anything, she'd been rather pleased, because she wanted to dote on him. Right now, he was rather messy, much her humorous cringing.

"It's been a pretty long day, hasn't it?" Louis said with a chuckle as he assumed the position for his mother.

[toxic34]

"Indeed it has," Marie said, proceeding to undo his nappy. "I've certainly done my best for you all this time."

[AJbestpony]

"Yes, and I love you all the more for it," Louis insisted as his mother cleaned him up.

[toxic34]

"You couldn't stop looking over at Corinne."

[AJbestpony]

"True," the young king confessed, "She's a very lovely woman. She'll make a wonderful musketeer like her father before her."

[toxic34]

Marie smiled as she proceeded to powder and rediaper him. "I'd be willing to have us deviate from the rules and invite her to spend time with you directly in the morning."

"I would like that," Louis said, hugging his mother afterward. He did not intend to interfere with Corinne's duties just yet. He knew she would like some time to get accustomed to her new duties first.

"I will send a message to let her know to see you before reporting to her post."

[AJbestpony]

"Thank you again, Mama," the king said appreciatively, looking on as she got out his favorite blanket.

She proceeded to swaddle her son and tuck him in, kissing his forehead. "Pleasant dreams."

It was not long before the king was soundly asleep in his bed.

When Corinne woke, she was surprised to find that she had wet herself, something she hadn't done in years.

D'Artagnan was the first to enter her bedroom. "Good morning, darling. Did you sleep well?"

[toxic34]

"Um, yes, Papa." She then blushed beet red because of what had happened.

[AJbestpony]

D'Artagnan scoffed and said, "It's nothing to be embarrassed about." He was the only one of the musketeers who knew the king's condition, but he had sworn never to tell anyone, not even his wife and daughter. "Let's get you changed."

Corrine followed close behind and soon was laying down for her change.

D'Artagnan undid her drenched diaper and began to get her nice and clean.

Corrine was perfectly still as she was wiped, powdered and then rediapered.

[AJbestpony]

D'Artagnan gave his daughter's diaper a reassuring pat, before helping her to his feet. "Alright, now let's get you dressed."

Corinne was certainly more excited to put on her uniform. After that, she was ready for her day.

Her parents accompanied her all the way to the castle, where Aramina, Renee, and Viveca awaited with their own fathers.

"Well, this is it," Corrine said. "Day one of a new job."

[AJbestpony]

"God willing, it will be less exciting than OUR first day," Athos remarked, at which Porthos, Aramais, and D'Artagnan laughed in agreement.

"I have a feeling it should be far quieter." But even they didn't realize that Marie had her invite to Corrine to see her son in the royal bedchamber forthcoming.

The four female musketeers happily kissed their fathers - and mother, in Corrine's case - goodbye, before entering through the gates of the castle grounds.

They saw Marie approach, which was a bit of a surprise.

[AJbestpony]

She smiled as the foursome bowed to her, before beckoning them to rise. "It is a pleasure to have you with us, my lovely ladies."

[toxic34]

"We live to serve," they all said. Then Corrine saw Marie put her hand on her own shoulder.

[AJbestpony]

"Viveca, Renee, Aramina, today you will patrol the castle courtyard, garden, and barracks respectively," the former queen told them. Looking to their leader, she said, "I've a special assignment for you, Corinne."

"You do?" she said, rather surprised.

[AJbestpony]

Marie nodded and took the younger woman's hand in hers, leading her towards the royal apartments.

Corinne was surprised when she found herself approaching the bedchamber, and seeing Louis in bed. "Your Majesty!" she said hurriedly.

[AJbestpony]

Louis smiled as he sat up with his bare chest on display. "I hope you are not displeased with this arrangement, my dear femme musketeer."

[toxic34]

"Um, of course not. I just wondered...what exactly am I doing?"

[AJbestpony]

"You need only remain by my side as I go about my day," Louis told her.

[toxic34]

Corrine was so taken by that, she suddenly was so excited and loudly wet herself, then blushed beet red.

[AJbestpony]

Marie's keen ears easily detected the familiar stream, though she noticed no stain was left on the lower half of Corinne's uniform, causing her to smile in recognition.

[toxic34]

She then looked on as the former queen took her hand.

[AJbestpony]

She led her to a corner of the room out of the bed's line of sight so they could have some privacy. "Care for a change?" she offered.

[toxic34]

"You...how did you...?"

[AJbestpony]

"A mother always knows," Marie insisted, bringing Corinne over to the changing table, "And you may have noticed Louis was naked from the waist up."

[toxic34]

She was rather astonished to hear that.

[AJbestpony]

Marie began to undo the pins of Corinne's diaper, moving to wipe her up. "It's understandable that you'd be nervous on your first day."

[toxic34]

"Of course I am," Corinne said. "I don't want to ruin things, especially in front of His Majesty."

[AJbestpony]

"You've already saved his life at least once; I doubt you'd disappoint him," Marie insisted as she powdered Corinne and began to fold together some new diapers.

[toxic34]

Soon she was rediapered, and then she got to see Louis' own.

[AJbestpony]

The young king proudly strutted his padding for the new musketeer, noting the way she stared. "Like what you see?"

[toxic34]

"Ummmm....yes. Yes, Your Majesty."

[AJbestpony]

Louis was pleased with that reaction. "And your own make you look even more beautiful than usual, milady."

[toxic34]

Louis needed to be changed right next.

[AJbestpony]

Marie took his hand at once, beckoning Corinne to stand watch, as her duty bade of her.

[toxic34]

She stood there as Marie proceeded to unpin her son's messy nappy.

[AJbestpony]

He kept perfectly still as he was wiped up completely. "This is going well," he whispered so only his mother could hear.

[toxic34]

"I should say so," she replied back, just as quietly.

[AJbestpony]

Louis smiled as he was then powdered and thickly rediapered, kissing his mother in thanks.

[toxic34]

"So, what's going to happen today?" Corinne asked.

[AJbestpony]

"Today, I mostly have paperwork and petitioners," said Louis, "Many days are like that around here."

[toxic34]

She watched as he was dressed for the day. "Well, I'm determined to do my job well."

[AJbestpony]

"That was never in doubt," Louis asserted as he donned his crown. "Come with me to the throne room," he bade his mother and new protector.

[toxic34]

They proceeded to follow close behind him.

[AJbestpony]

It did not take long for them to reach the throne room, and Louis immediately took his seat at the throne.

[toxic34]

Soon the working day began, and Corrine got a good view of how it all worked.

Louis saw many petitioners from all walks of life and heard their pleas out. He was able to grant most of them straightaway, though some required time and additional resources.

It was obvious that he cared deeply about the people and wanted to help as best he could.

[AJbestpony]

Corinne could not help but smile as she stood positioned beside the throne. The king truly was a good man. Even so, she kept her eye open for anyone who may have meant Louis or his court any harm.

So far, no one appeared to have any ill intent.

[AJbestpony]

They managed to go the whole morning without any incidents.

[toxic34]

After that, Marie proceeded to approach her son, along with some other, rather buxom, women.

Corinne's eyes widened when she saw the former queen actually undo the bodice of her dress and bring her son to her bosom.

Louis latched on and suckled rather hungrily. The other women did likewise.

[AJbestpony]

Corinne's parents had never told her if this was customary or just unique to Louis XIII's court. Either way, she found it was rather touching.

After he had his fill and was burped, he then looked over at her.

[AJbestpony]

She just smiled and said, "It's important to keep your strength up, Your Majesty."

[toxic34]

"Indeed," Louis replied at that.

[AJbestpony]

Corinne then accompanied him and his mother to the king's office.

[toxic34]

There was quite a lot of paperwork waiting for him.

[AJbestpony]

He handled all of it in turn, reading each document thoroughly before putting his signature to it.

While in the middle of this, his nappy began to expand.

[AJbestpony]

Marie smiled at that, moving to his side at once.

(Gotta go; work this afternoon. See you Wednesday and Thursday mornings)

He smiled as she took him aside.

Corinne smiled at the sight of the young king being handled by his doting mother. They were clearly as close as she and Constance were.

He then proceeded to lay down for her. During the change, he started peeing.

Thankfully, a nearby changing pot averted ruining the carpet.

"How often does that happen?" Corinne wondered.

[AJbestpony]

"About every other day," Marie said with a snicker as she waited for him to finish.

[toxic34]

It took quite a while before he did.

[AJbestpony]

Marie wasted no time getting her son clean again, before powdering him and pinning him in some new diapers.

[toxic34]

It was then that Marie wanted to really demonstrate who else knew and why.

[AJbestpony]

Corinne gladly accompanied her and Louis out of the office, determined to protect them both from come what may.

"I want you to know that you now are part of a very select circle who knows this fact about my son."

[AJbestpony]

Corinne was intrigued, but she had Marie's undivided attention.

[toxic34]

"Besides me and the maids and wet nurses, your father and mother have known for a while."

[AJbestpony]

Corinne was stunned. "But Papa and Mama always tell me everything." She didn't think they'd keep secrets from her.

[toxic34]

"They were always planning to tell you when the time came," Marie said. "Especially since your mother clearly wanted her own baby girl back."

[AJbestpony]

Corinne felt better knowing that. "Well then, what happens now? And where are we going?"

When she was part of the maintenance staff, she had not been allowed into this part of the castle.

"Right now, I want to really establish how further your connection to us will be solidified. It happens here."

[AJbestpony]

Corinne's anticipation only grew as the king and his mother led her to a certain chamber. She was so excited, she thought she might wet her own diaper again.

They proceeded to step inside at once, and then Corinne was especially surprised.

[AJbestpony]

Her father and mother were within, along with another person she had never seen before.

[toxic34]

"What's happening?" Corinne asked, quite astonished.

[AJbestpony]

"All will be made clear in time, sweetheart," D'Artagnan assured his beloved baby girl.

[toxic34]

Corinne then looked over at the mysterious stranger.

[AJbestpony]

She smiled and approached, taking her hands in hers. "It is a pleasure, my dear."

[toxic34]

"Do I know you from somewhere?" Corinne wondered.

[AJbestpony]

"Not unless you read a lot of legends," said the purple-clad stranger. "I go by many names. The Enchantress. The Peacock. The Woman in Purple."

She was astonished at that fact and was overcome with awe.

[AJbestpony]

Emilie never got tired of that awestruck look, even if she had seen it many a time. "You and your friends certainly made history as the first proper female soldiers in France since my good friend Joan of Arc."

[toxic34]

"You knew Joan personally?" she said, just as dumbstruck again.

[AJbestpony]

"Oh, she certainly does," said the Maid of Orleans as she stepped out from the shadows.

[toxic34]

Corrine fainted then and there, right after wetting herself several times.

[AJbestpony]

Louis chuckled and went to lift her into his arms. "Count D'Artagnan, would you mind if I...?"

[toxic34]

"By all means," he said graciously.

[AJbestpony]

The young king carried the unconscious musketeer over to a nearby changing table and gently set her down. As he began to remove her pants, he called out, "Send for her three friends and their families, as well. They should be in on this, as well."

"Of course," Marie said with an excited grin.

[AJbestpony]

Louis smiled at his mother, before he chivalrously changed Corinne's drenched diaper.

[toxic34]

By the time Corinne awoke, she was in Louis' bedchamber, in his bed, surrounded by everyone, and seeing that she, like them, was wearing a purple ring.

Emilie explained the meaning of them, namely how they imbued the wearer with immortality and the power to travel anywhere she had visited. In exchange, the wearer's control over the bladder and bowels was nullified.

"We're willing to be part of this with you, Corinne."

[AJbestpony]

She was a little overwhelmed by all this, but she found she could not resist the offer. "Alright. I'm sold."

[toxic34]

They hugged each other afterwards.

[AJbestpony]

"Well then," said Louis, sitting down beside the object of his affection, "Now that we are all part of a big happy family, there is nothing holding me back."

[toxic34]

Corinne looked on as he suddenly moved to kiss her.

[AJbestpony]

He planted his lips against hers softly for a good minute, before looking into her eyes. "We've known each other for some time now, and although we are now king and protector, I would like for us to be even more."

[toxic34]

Corinne was absolutely astonished. "I would love nothing better."

[AJbestpony]

Louis was delighted. "And worry not. Just because you'd be my queen, that does not mean you have to stop being a musketeer. I wouldn't dream of depriving you of your lifelong dream."

[toxic34]

She beamed. "Then I accept at once."

[AJbestpony]

He smiled widely at that, and everyone clapped loudly. "Oh, this is so romantic!" Aramina exclaimed.

[toxic34]

"I know what you mean by that."

[AJbestpony]

Aramina beamed as her own mother, Milady Anne de Winter, came over to embrace her. "You're quite the hopeless romantic, dearest."

[toxic34]

"Indeed," Aramina said. "It feels so wonderful!"

[AJbestpony]

Anne smiled widely at that, before looking to their benefactor. "What comes next?"

[toxic34]

"Well, what would you like to do?" Emilie asked.

[AJbestpony]

"If you can travel anywhere in time, might we get a glimpse of the future?" Constance proposed.

[toxic34]

"I would be glad to do show you all."

[AJbestpony]

"How far ahead shall we go?" Joan asked, holding up her ring.

[toxic34]

"Well, what would you recommend?" Corinne asked.

[AJbestpony]

Joan looked to Emilie, before grinning at the female musketeer and said, "How about a monument erected to your son?"

[toxic34]

That through them for a loop. "Say what?"

[AJbestpony]

"You and Louis will have a boy of your own who goes on to rule longer than any other monarch in Earth's history," Emilie clarified, "He will be known by all as 'The Sun King.'"

[toxic34]

They then arrived at Versailles at once.

[AJbestpony]

Although it was set in modern times, the estate still looked much the same as it did in its prime.

[toxic34]

"This is what our son will build?" Corinne asked.

[AJbestpony]

"Yes, indeed," Joan said proudly, "It becomes a testament to his reign, and the home away from home for the rest of the royal family."

[toxic34]

"How fascinating," she said, tearing up a little.

[AJbestpony]

"Yes, indeed," said Emilie. She then led them inside. Right now, Louis XIV was having tea with his descendants. Including John and Louis Joseph's daughters.

[toxic34]

They were all gathered around, enjoying themselves immensely, even Marie Antoinette's entire family from Austria were there. They turned and smiled when they saw who was approaching.

Despite never having met her son before, either as an infant or otherwise, Corinne instinctively knew who her son was straightaway. She smiled and made her way over to him.

He immediately took her in his own arms.

[AJbestpony]

Corinne sighed and held him, not realizing until then how there was more to life than just swordplay.

He held her back and watched as she started to tear up.

[AJbestpony]

Constance wiped her daughter's eyes for her.

[toxic34]

They all proceeded to get to know each other.

[AJbestpony]

Constance and the others from her time were fascinated to learn of all the advances to come in Earth's future, as well as the planet's eventual unification near the end of the 21st century.

Corinne was then especially moved when her son moved to let her change him.

[AJbestpony]

"It's always been one of my favorite ways of bonding with you," the Sun King insisted as he laid down for her.

[toxic34]

"I have a feeling that's quite true." She proceeded to undo his diaper.

[AJbestpony]

He laid very still as his mother got him nice and clean, making certain to overlook nothing.

[toxic34]

Corinne smiled as she proceeded to get him powdered and rediapered quite easily. Instinct had guided her well.

[AJbestpony]

"Thank you for that," he said appreciatively, kissing her cheeks.

[toxic34]

"I know this will feel great when I give birth to you."

[AJbestpony]

"Yes, and thankfully it won't be an arduous labor," Emilie assured her.

[toxic34]

That definitely filled her heart with joy.

(Obviously, part of the reason I was drawn to also doing something out of the prologues of Grimm Variations is because of Charlotte, as you could figure)

(Yes, I could totally see a scenario where Jacob and Wilhelm, or someone else if that suits your fancy better, dote on her)

"Would you care for a tour of the estate, Mother?" Louis XIV offered.

(Right. This also is combined with the idea that the Shlorpians are going into the stories to fuck around as well.)

"I think that would be wonderful."

(I can go for that, certainly)

Louis XIV began to lead his parents around Versailles.

[toxic34]

They were mesmerized by everything around them.

[AJbestpony]
