Thickly White - a Rainbow Brite RP (private)

In most universes of the cosmos, color is a naturally occurring phenomenon. But there was one particular world where it had to be manufactured by physical means.

Here, a group of individuals known as the Color Kids were those who put color together and spread it across the land.

Their leader was the noble Rainbow Brite, who was determined to keep the world beautiful for eternity, despite the best efforts of her rival Murky.

Right now, she was currently sitting and deep in thought.

[AJbestpony]

Despite being the guardian of color for Earth, she had not had any true human friends until very recently, when she met Brian Scott. In the time since, they had become very close.

He was quite young, and he was the only person who could see her. But they had a very special connection.

[AJbestpony]

So far, he had mostly come to Rainbow Land whenever they hung out, but she felt obligated to travel to Earth to get to know more about Brian.

Right now, they were in a public park, and it was a lovely day out.

[AJbestpony]

"It really is so peaceful here," she noted as they sat on a bench, "I come to Earth all the time, but it's not often I get to savor everything it has to offer."

"Well, I wish there was so much more I could show you," Brian said. "But there's a lot of things I can't because I'm not old enough."

"I understand," said Rainbow. She was older than any living human, as far as she knew, though despite her wisdom from centuries of living, she still maintained the appearance and mannerisms of a young girl.

"I really wish I could do so much more than I can right now," Brian said.

[AJbestpony]

"All in good time," Rainbow assured him. She then looked at the time. "Isn't your mother expecting you home soon?"

"Yes, that's right," he said. "I better go."

She waved him off, and she was prepared to call down Starlite to take her home. However, she was inclined to follow Brian to see what he did when she was not around.

Brian made his way towards his house.

[AJbestpony]

The moment he got home, his mother, Dr. Greta Scott, swept him off his arms and embraced him lovingly. "How was your day, honey?"

[toxic34]

"Just fine, Mom," he replied. "Had some quiet time at the park."

[AJbestpony]

"Glad to hear it," said Greta, "Your dad will be home late tonight, so we've got the house to ourselves."

[toxic34]

Scott nodded and they went to the living room together.

[AJbestpony]

"Before we get settled, would you like me to...?" Greta offered.

[toxic34]

"If you want to," Brian stated.

[AJbestpony]

Greta smiled and carried her son to a nearby room.

[toxic34]

It looked like a giant nursery.

[AJbestpony]

His mother had always wanted more children. When she and her husband had been unable to have more, she had compensated for it by smothering Brian with babyish affection. "Let's get you out of those big boy clothes."

Brian was soon disrobed quite swiftly.

[AJbestpony]

Greta laid him on the changing table, getting out a thick pair of diapers. "Bottoms up," she bade Brian.

He obliged and soon was being powdered. Rainbow Brite crawled over to the nursery's window outside.

She watched in sheer fascination as her human friend was fastened into the pair of diapers by his doting mother.

Soon he was then placed on the floor.

[AJbestpony]

He waddled around the room. "Thank you, Mom. This feels so nice."

[toxic34]

"Now, let's go and watch TV together."

[AJbestpony]

He smiled and allowed her to lead him by the hand back to the living room, where they got onto the couch together.

As they sat and watched, Rainbow Brite switched positions.

Despite being eternally a child, she was unfamiliar with how human children interacted with their parents. She was rather captivated by the sight of Brian snuggling his mother in a diaper.

She certainly didn't know anything like that among the Color Kids.

[AJbestpony]

She decided to look into it by doing some in-depth research.

[toxic34]

To do that, Rainbow Brite thought there was one particular way to learn for herself.

[AJbestpony]

Namely, she could consult someone who specialized in selling diapers and related products.

Rainbow Brite made her way over to a store.

[AJbestpony]

"Hello, sweetie," the vendor greeted her, mistaking her for a regular human girl, "Are you lost? Or is your mommy or daddy nearby?"

Rainbow Brite mentally sighed, realizing why. "I'm just here to see what goes on."

[AJbestpony]

"Alright, well, I'll be happy to show you around," said the vendor, leading her to a certain area. Rainbow was short enough that she could see up the woman's skirt.

She was intrigued seeing that the woman was earing diapers herself.

[AJbestpony]

Sensing the young blond had seen her padding, the vendor, named Maya, just smiled and said, "It's not just babies and children who get something out of this lifestyle. Teens, and adults enjoy it, too."

"Is that so?" Rainbow Brite wondered.

[AJbestpony]

"Very much so," Maya confirmed. Soon they got to the children's section. "As always, we start with diapers first. Any brand which stands out to you, sweetie?"

"I hardly know what to start with," she said.

[AJbestpony]

"Well, based on your clothes, you have quite the fondness for rainbows," said Maya. She then reached for a package of diapers decorated with a multicolored gradient.

(I have an idea for our next alternate universe RP. You may be aware that Disney and just about everyone else who has done an adaption of Peter Pan has been, to some degree, inaccurate. In J.M. Barrie's original rendition, Peter allowed Lost Boys who grew too old to die, or even killed them himself. Captain Hook was implied to be a Lost Boy who escaped and turned to piracy to stop his former friend. Oddly enough, as lousy as the Peter Pan & Wendy movie from last year was, it's possibly the most accurate retelling of the story.)

(Right, I'm aware of all of those things. Furthermore, Jim Steinman wrote songs for Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell albums that basically were his retelling of the story. Bat Out of Hell: The Musical started life as a production originally called Neverland.)

She then looked at the package herself.

(Fascinating. I did hear that the song Bat of Hell was originally over forty minutes long, so I have to wonder how much of it would have been about that.

Anyway, maybe the RP could focus on a more benign Captain Hook who has a family of his own, as well as when he tries to save Wendy and her brothers from the insane Peter)

Maya smiled at her reaction. "Would you like me to help you into one?"

(Could be interesting, not sure if it should be the immediate next in Elseworlds, though)

"That would be nice, thank you."

(That's fine. Did you have something else in that series in mind before that?)

Maya then reached down and easily lifted Rainbow into her arms, carrying her to a nearby changing table and laying her down.

(This might be considered too similar to the first for you, but there could be a focus on a France where the Revolution never took place and the House of Bourbon continued after Louis XVI.)

She was perfectly still for her.

(That sounds like it could be fun. We did get a glimpse at an alternate version in the Grimm Siblings' world, though they were still in hiding. One where the French royal family endured has possibilities)

Maya lifted up Rainbow's skirt, sliding a rainbow-colored diaper under her bottom and setting her down on it.

"Hmm, this feels rather nice," Rainbow stated.

Maya smiled and soon taped up the padding up snugly around the girl's loins, patting the front of it. "Try walking in it. It feels even better that way."

Rainbow then proceeded to walk around. It was a very intriguing sensation.

Maya gushed over how adorable she looked. "Yes, it suits you very nicely."

[toxic34]

Rainbow smiled, knowing this was exactly what she'd been looking for.

"Is there anything more you would like today, or are you happy with just these diapers for now?" Maya asked.

[toxic34]

"This is good," Rainbow said at that. "Thank you."

[AJbestpony]

Maya nodded and hugged her, before handing her the rest of the package. "This one is on the house." That was good, as Rainbow was unfamiliar with Earthling currency.

She smiled and walked off with the package in hand to go back.

She also left with Maya's phone number, in case she ever needed more supplies or even a babysitter.

"Wait till the Color Kids hear about this!"

[AJbestpony]

With the package in hand, she summoned Starlite, ready to go back to Rainbow Land.

It didn't take long for them to arrive back.

Red Butler and the others were there to greet her. "How was Brian?"

[toxic34]

"He's doing fine," Rainbow said. "But I learned about something rather interesting on Earth."

[AJbestpony]

"What might that be?" Lala Orange asked curiously.

[toxic34]

"People on Earth like to wear these..."

[AJbestpony]

The Color Kids looked on as their leader explained. "How fascinating..." Indigo said, adjusting her glasses to get a closer look at the crinkly garments.

"What is their purpose, Rainbow?"

[AJbestpony]

"The intended one is to collect waste," Rainbow explained, "But they serve other purposes, such as comfort and fashion."

[toxic34]

Everyone was rather interested at that.

[AJbestpony]

Rainbow was happy to show off the diaper she currently wore, and all her friends were intrigued. "You look cute!" said Canary Yellow.

[toxic34]

"Thank you for that, Canary Yellow!"

[AJbestpony]

Patty O'Green and Buddy Blue then looked to each other, as though they were getting the same idea.

[toxic34]

"What are you thinking?" she asked them both.

[AJbestpony]

"Could we try them, too?" Patty asked eagerly. "We'd like to see what you get out of them ourselves."

[toxic34]

"That would be fine with me," Rainbow said.

[AJbestpony]

Of course, none of the Kids knew how to put a diaper on, so Rainbow would have to do the deed herself.

She was quite happy to do so, and felt a sense of pride afterwards.

Patty and Buddy seemed quite pleased with the results. "Me next!" Tickled Pink requested.

Rainbow smiled and soon proceeded to do so.

One-by-one, she made her way through the other Color Kids, until they were all padded like she was.

"Now, isn't that better?" Rainbow asked them.

[AJbestpony]

"Absolutely!" they announced in unison, very happy with this new arrangement.

[toxic34]

"Now, what shall we do?' she asked, rubbing her hands together.

[AJbestpony]

"Well, when I left Brian and his mother, they were snuggling close together," said Rainbow, "Maybe close personal contact has something to do with it?"

[toxic34]

"That's an interesting idea," Lala Orange said.

[AJbestpony]

They made their way back to the castle, where they gathered together in the lounge. "Okay, I guess everybody pick a partner and cuddle?" Rainbow proposed.

Patty ended up being Rainbow's partner.

[AJbestpony]

The two of them snuggled together on a couch. Red and Tickled partnered up, as did Moonglow and Buddy, Lala and Indigo, and Canary and Shy

It did feel rather cozy to bunch up like this.

"It HAS been a while since we were able to take it easy," Buddy noted, "Maybe this was all we needed to find inner peace."

[toxic34]

"I know!" Canary said. "It feels great!"

[AJbestpony]

Rainbow and the other Color Kids smiled and snuggled together. "I wonder what else humans do to relax."

[toxic34]

"There's certainly ways to find out."

[AJbestpony]

"Next time we invite Brian to Rainbow Land, we should ask," Shy Violet suggested.

They liked the sound of that.

[AJbestpony]

It happened that at that very moment, Brian was being fed his supper by Greta.

[toxic34]

He was quite pleased throughout that moment.

[AJbestpony]

"This is the life, isn't it, sweetie?" Greta cooed as she wiped her son's mouth.

[toxic34]

"Yes, it's rather nice," he stated.

[AJbestpony]

"Makes me wish these moments could last forever," Greta said with a sigh. "But, of course, you have your own life. Have you made any new friends lately? Maybe a girlfriend?"

[toxic34]

"Well, not yet, but I'm always looking."

[AJbestpony]

"Well, if ever you want to bring somebody home, our door is always open," Greta insisted.

[toxic34]

He did rather wish other people could see Rainbow Brite besides him.

[AJbestpony]

He hoped there might be a way to bring her world and his together.

[toxic34]

He was in the midst of thinking this over in his room after dinner.

[AJbestpony]

He got the idea to do some research on different types of magic, figuring that would be his best bet. In his search, he came across a curious entity known as the Woman in Purple.

[toxic34]

Brian looked through the book, and was entranced by the legend of this figure.

[AJbestpony]

She had a habit of approaching people who had distinguished themselves through some impressive feat, be it scientific, wartime, or something similar.

[toxic34]

"I wish I could do something that special," he said.

[AJbestpony]

While he may have been an ordinary human, Rainbow Brite herself as certainly special. That gave him hope.

[toxic34]

At the very least, he planned to broach this to her.

[AJbestpony]

He hoped that would be soon, and that nothing would keep them apart. Least of all Murky and another one of his sinister plots to steal Rainbow's belt.

[toxic34]

Naturally, he was in the midst of thinking one up.

[AJbestpony]

"There's gotta be something I haven't considered," he mused as his bumbling sidekick, Lurky, entered the room.

[toxic34]

"Master, look what I found!"

[AJbestpony]

Murky sighed and looked to him. "What is it this time, Lurky?"

[toxic34]

"I've found something you're gonna like!"

[AJbestpony]

"Somehow I doubt th-" Murky began, before he looked at the glowing object in his sidekick's hands. "What in...?"

[toxic34]

"Told ya, Master! It looks nice, doesn't it?"

[AJbestpony]

Murky moved to swipe the object out of Lurky's hands. "Don't you know what this is?!"

[toxic34]

"A really pretty rock?" Lurky said.

[AJbestpony]

"Well, yes, but much more than that," said the mustached monochrome, "It's an artifact which summons a figure of legend!"

[toxic34]

Lurky listened up to his master.

[AJbestpony]

"But from what I've heard, this individual has quite the affinity for purple," said Murky, "Which means she would sooner join up with Rainbow Brite and the Color Kids than us."

[toxic34]

That's when an idea came together.

[AJbestpony]

"If we could find a way to summon this figure and use her for bait, we could lure Rainbow and the Color Kids into a trap!" Murky declared.

[toxic34]

"And then you'll have everything you want!"

[AJbestpony]

"Indeed, my occasionally bright friend," said Murky, rubbing his hands together connivingly.

[toxic34]

Soon, it looked like everything would come together.

[AJbestpony]

They decided to call upon the Dark Princess to reinforce them, promising her a share of whatever exploits resulted.

(I'm thinking that Murky, Lurky, and the Flame Princess successfully summon Emilie, who voluntarily lets them capture her while they plan to use her for bait to lure in Rainbow and the Color Kids. She then observes how Rainbow handles the situation as her final test for joining the collective)

She was excited by seeing what they had found.

"If we could just make sense of this inscription along the rim..." Murky said as the threesome looked the artifact over, "But I don't recognize the language."

[toxic34]

"There might be a way to find out what it is."

[AJbestpony]

"Let me see that," the Dark Princess, Aldricha, proposed, "There might be a way to make sense of the pronunciation."

[toxic34]

"Do you know of a way?" Murky asked.

[AJbestpony]

"I might know a spell or two," Aldricha claimed. She focused on the writing and began to mutter an incantation.

[toxic34]

The inscription began to glow a bit.

[AJbestpony]

Murky hurriedly set up a containment unit, prepared for whatever happened once the light dissipated.

[toxic34]

Aldricha then proceeded to read the inscription out loud, after getting to know how to say it.

[AJbestpony]

After a bright burst of purple light, there was a fourth person standing in the vicinity. "Who are you?!" Murky demanded.

[toxic34]

"I'm known by many names. But you can call me Emilie Agreste."

[AJbestpony]

Aldricha raised an eyebrow. "I know of this person. She has many names, but she is most commonly recognized as the Woman in Purple."

Murky sneered. "Purple. The most majestic of colors."

[toxic34]

Emilie could sense that something was different about this particular encounter.

[AJbestpony]

"We cannot have her making contact with the Color Kids," Murky decided. "Lurky, tie her up!"

[toxic34]

"You got it, Master." Emilie soon found herself being bound together.

[AJbestpony]

She could have easily escaped and overpowered all three of them. But she was inclined to play along and see where this would lead. Thus, she allowed the furry humanoid to bind her.

She was then led over to a chair.

[AJbestpony]

As she was set down, Aldricha declared, "We probably shouldn't turn our backs on her. I'll watch her first."

[toxic34]

"And I'll set to baiting the Color Kids at once!"

[AJbestpony]

Just by observing her captors, Emilie quickly fathomed that she had been brought to the universe where color was manufactured instead of a naturally occurring phenomenon. She had had her eye on that world for sometime, actually.

If her hunch was correct, she would get a good idea of what the Color Kids could do in person.

[AJbestpony]

As for her captors, none of them struck her as especially evil. Aldricha in particular seemed to be vying more for attention than actual power.

[toxic34]

Aldricha's eyes went open and she instinctively moved her hands. Apparently it looked like she had a problem with accidents.

[AJbestpony]

"Are you alright?" Emilie asked in genuine concern. Even tied up, she could show her maternal side.

[toxic34]

"I'm fine!" Aldricha said unconvincingly. Emilie could actually move a bit in her restraints, and could easily reach into her diaper bag.

[AJbestpony]

Even with her hands most immobile, she managed to take out and hold up one of the thickest and most absorbent diapers in her possession. "Maybe this will help."

Aldricha was rather touched by that. "Thank you."

[AJbestpony]

The Frenchwoman watched as the Dark Princess diapered herself. "Tell me; is there a Dark Queen?"

[toxic34]

"Well, um, that is..." She was actually a bit flustered.

[AJbestpony]

Emilie sensed this was a bit of a touchy subject. "Are you not on good terms with your mother?"

[toxic34]

"She thinks I'm an embarrassment and threatened to disown me."

[AJbestpony]

Emilie's heart ached for the young woman. "I am sorry to hear that."

[toxic34]

"She especially thinks so because of the fact I can't keep my panties or bedsheets clean."

[AJbestpony]

Emilie made up her mind. Whenever she resolved this situation with Aldricha, Murky, and Lurky, she would find the Dark Queen and give her a much needed lesson in compassion.

At this particular moment, Rainbow Brite had brought Brian to Rainbow Land.

[AJbestpony]

"It's always nice to visit here," he insisted as the two of them climbed off Starlite.

[toxic34]

"I know you like it here," Rainbow said.

[AJbestpony]

"I certainly do," Brian insisted, "Anyway, you said you had something you wanted to show me?"

[toxic34]

"Yes. I saw what you and your mother do to spend time together. You inspired me."

[AJbestpony]

Brian was confused at first, before he realized her meaning and blushed. "Oh, you saw that, huh?" But her last sentence had stood out to him. "Inspire you how?"

[toxic34]

Rainbow smiled. "The Color Kids and I are doing it too!"

[AJbestpony]

Brian looked on as his short friend lifted her skirt to reveal her rainbow-colored diaper. "Huh. It suits you."

[toxic34]

"Thank you very much," she replied.

[AJbestpony]

When they got to the Rainbow Castle, Brian got a look at the most recenty addendum to the factory. Some of the sprites were now manufacturing their own variety of diapers for Rainbow and the Color Kids.

"How long have you been doing this?"

[AJbestpony]

"Just the last week," Rainbow informed him, "Things have actually been pretty slow around here. Murky hasn't been stirring up any trouble lately.

[toxic34]

"Aren't you worried about him, though?"

[AJbestpony]

"Oh, yes," Rainbow confirmed as they neared the factory, "When he goes this long without trying something, it usually means he's planning something especially sinister."

[toxic34]

Brian looked at her. "You can stop him, though. Right?"

[AJbestpony]

"We always do," Rainbow said with a smile.

(Oh, I should mention this now: I'm working Monday and Friday morning and afternoon. Would you mind another Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday week?)

(Not at all)

Just then, something seemed off.

[AJbestpony]

(Nice)

"Rainbow, Rainbow!" Red Butler called out, coming over to the Kids' leader with a scroll in hand, "We just found this at the factory entrance."

[toxic34]

She proceeded to read it for herself.

[AJbestpony]

She recognized the writing as Murky's. The writing was concise but direct: "We have captured your ally. If you want her back, come to the border of our two realms at midnight. Otherwise, her fate is sealed."

[toxic34]

"Who is he talking about?" she wondered. Of course, she knew that anyone captured by Murky was in danger and needed to be rescued, but she didn't know who this was.

[AJbestpony]

When she and Brian got back to the Rainbow Castle, they hastily did a roll call. To her relief, everybody was accounted for, even Stormy, who normally lived in the clouds. But that bid the question; who had Murky captured?

"What does he have planned?" Canary Yellow asked worriedly.

[AJbestpony]

"Whatever the case, he must be setting a trap," said Patty O'Green, "We need to tread with caution."

[toxic34]

"I'm sure that we can do this and come out fine," Lala Orange said.

[AJbestpony]

"In any case, I've got your backs," Brian insisted, "This is as much my world's problem as yours. And I promise I won't let Murky take Rainbow OR her belt."

[toxic34]

She smiled and hugged him. "Thank you so much."

[AJbestpony]

"You're welcome," Brian said, holding her close. He then felt the back of her diaper. "So, do you actually use these, or are they just for show?"

[toxic34]

"Oh, we've been using them plenty."

[AJbestpony]

Brian confirmed this when he discovered Rainbow Brite's diaper was more than a little wet. "Would you like me to change you?" he offered.

[toxic34]

"Sure, feel free to do so."

[AJbestpony]

Brian took her hand and led her to someplace where they could be alone. Although most of his human friends were at the age where they thought girls had cooties or whatever, he felt very comfortable around Rainbow.

[toxic34]

Rainbow smiled and laid down for him.

[AJbestpony]

He carefully undid her diaper and began to wipe her clean, having watched his mother do the same to him countless times.

[toxic34]

She giggled at the sensation, as she was exceptionally ticklish.

[AJbestpony]

He was taken aback by how adorable she could be, and soon he had her cleaned up, powdered, and diapered. "Did I do alright?"

[toxic34]

"More than all right," she said, hugging him afterwards.

[AJbestpony]

He hugged her back. He was aware that Rainbow had been a little girl for hundreds of years, and she would likely remain one when he was grown up, but he couldn't help having feelings for her.

[toxic34]

Rainbow didn't quite know how to process it, but she was grateful for the connection they had.

[AJbestpony]

They decided to just pass the time however they could while they waited for Murky's deadline.

[toxic34]

They played in the verdant meadows, doing just about every game Brian could think of.

[AJbestpony]

It was a terrific way to set their minds at ease.

[toxic34]

Soon the deadline was upon them, and Rainbow stiffened herself for what was to come.

[AJbestpony]

Murky and the others were preparing Emilie for transfer, chaining her up in a cage. "Better remember to gag her, just in case she tries to warn the Kids," he proposed.

Lurky did exactly that. Emilie stared ahead in a dignified pose.

[AJbestpony]

By now, Aldricha was beginning to wonder if they were making a mistake. But she had to see how this encounter would pan out. "I won't let them kill you, if it's any consolation," she whispered to Emilie when Murky and Lurky were out of earshot.

She nodded and just stared straight ahead.

[AJbestpony]

Soon they were on their way to the border between Rainbow Land and the Pits.

[toxic34]

Rainbow arrived for her appointment. She was rather stunned to see this purple-clad woman in their clutches.

[AJbestpony]

Due to her gag, Emilie could not call out to her. But she managed to signal with her eyes that she was not in danger.

[toxic34]

Rainbow stared ahead. "All right, Murky, I'm here. Now what do you want?"

[AJbestpony]

"Oh, I thought that'd be obvious," said the monochromatic master of the Pits, "Give me your belt. Or this so-called Woman in Purple is done for."

[toxic34]

"I would never give my belt to the likes of you," she said confidently. "I'll fight you for her."

[AJbestpony]

Emilie was impressed with Rainbow's tenacity. She was prepared to break out of her restraints at any moment, but first she would see how the scenario unfolded.

[toxic34]

"You really are foolish to risk everything like that," Murky said. "But if you have a death wish, I'm not going to stop you."

[AJbestpony]

"Nobody's going to die today," Rainbow insisted, summoning Starlite to back her up.

[toxic34]

They soon proceeded to fight. Emilie watched it all from her position.

[AJbestpony]

Aldricha seemed to be hesitant to attack, as though her time with Emilie had made her reevaluate her lust for absolute control.

[toxic34]

Things changed when Aldrich actually tripped, and her diaper, which was quite used, was visible, much to Murky and Lurky's stunned disgust.

[AJbestpony]

But that was just the distraction Rainbow needed to disarm her lifelong foes. "Surrender or I'll throw you someplace darker than the Pits!"

[toxic34]

Aldricha immediately moved to surrender before the others could. "Don't hurt me! Look, I'll let her go!"

Emilie beamed and said, "Well, that was most enlightening, my dear Rainbow Brite. You performed superbly."

"Who are you, anyways?" she asked her.

"I am indeed the infamous Woman in Purple," she revealed, "Like you, my powers are somewhat based on color."

"Then Rainbow Land would be glad to have you!"

"I would be honored to accompany you back," said Emilie, "Just a moment." She deposited Murky and Lurky into the cage, before moving to change Aldricha's diaper.

"You really will help me out with my mother?"

"I certainly will," the Frenchwoman insisted as she cleaned up the Dark Princess, "She should love you as you are."

Aldricha smiled weakly at Emilie.

She smiled back, before powdering and carefully rediapering her, cuddling her close to her afterward.

"Let's go," she said rather determinedly.

They all headed back to Rainbow Land together, Murky just brooding over his latest failure in the cage while Lurky said, "Oh, boy; we're going on a ride now!"

On the way back to the Rainbow Castle, Emilie never left Aldricha's side.

Everyone else applauded when they pulled up.

"Murky and Lurky won't be bothering us again anytime soon," Brian said, "But who is this?"
