There was this one kid in sixth grade that actually started choking me. Was bad because he had the locker next to mine. Wasn't even interested in me. I stood out because I didn't mature at the same speed as most. my second run in third grade I was still calling cuts "boo-boos" Stopped after someone corrected me, but even now, things any social person knows arethings I have trouble with.

That's how it was for me when I was little. Acting out, cursing, etc. I never acted out in school other than snapping a few pairs of my glasses out of frustration. For the most part I was pretty quiet. I always got picked on and made fun of for just about everything about me. Trying to play along to fit in didn't work, so I tried to just separate myself from them to avoid trouble. I got into a few fights, but that was because they'd ambush me for no good reason. I never started the fights, but I certainly finished a few.

I tended to act out, curse...I actually stopped doing homework all together. Seemed to become the latest trend because the teachers formed a new rule that's still applied today; no homework=detention. I didn't care about passing or failing, i just wanted to do what i enjoyed, which was mostly video games.

I think I was diagnosed when I was little. I can't remember how old I was, but I do remember being violent when I was little. As for school, you're lucky. I've never been able to block out the kinds of things I went through up until fourth grade. I went through some of the worst times of my life in those years. By the time I half way through fourth grade, I just couldn't take it anymore. That's I was taken out of public school for good reasons. None that were my fault though.

Regression, infantilism, that stuff. I've never been accused of faking, but I used to be a, well, a violent person. Sixth grade is mostly a blank for me, because I blocked it out. That was when I was diagnosed.

I usually don't think about it unless it's brought up in a conversation or I'm at the doctor's and what not. From what my doctors tell me, I have a high functioning type of Autism which is why I can live like...a mostly normal person. I've had doctors accuse me of faking both Autism and Asbergers, which is has always bugged me. Anyway, what kind of lifestyle are you talking about?

I was diagnoses with an incedibly mild case of it, so I never went to a special school. Most of the time unless I'm completely honest with myself, i tend to forget I have it at all.

Funny thing, I read somewhere that autistic people are more inclined to this life style.

I understand how you feel. I have asbergers too. I guess that's one more thing we have in common, huh? I graduated from a special school for kids with Autism and Asbergers syndrome, so I learned a lot about how to cope with it, but I still have trouble really opening up and being myself nine times out of ten. I seem to have an easier time with both here. That and the rare occasions I meets people who I can really relate to.

This site and the people in this community mean a lot to me; it's one of the few places I'm able to really be myself. because of my asbergers, interacting with people face to face or verbaly isn't easy for me. So the people here that becomes friends with me mean a lot to me.

Me too. Thanks again for all the support you've been giving me lately. It may sound funny but until the other day, I had never had a friend say they wanted to help me because I was their friend. It really meant a lot to me.
