It would call to a character, persuade them to find a piece, and then send them to the reality where it is.
Think of Lucy from Fairy tail. She lives in her Universe. Universe A. The Universe where she’s in diapers for some reason or another is Universe B. Universe B Lucy is in a position to get the piece so the artifact sends Universe A Lucy into the body of Universe B Lucy to get said piece. I’m thinking it’s because it can’t communicate to people in a universe where a piece of it is.

Actually, what if it wasn’t limited to just miraculous? What if instead it was artifact that called out to different people across the multiverse? That way we could use whoever we wanted.
