Sorry, I didn't want to say you were implying anything. I always worry too much about things I shouldn't XD
Yeah, it also seems reasonable from a plot point of view: 10 weeks would mean 2 months and a few days more, the perfect amount of time for a contest like that on an island. Who knows who will resist, who will break, what will be left for our 18 contestants after such a tragic game!
Also, of course, I'm good in changing our 'deadline' if we'll feel like it. For now 10 seems to be a safe bet: should we want to add more, there will be no problem; should we want to finish earlier, we'll just have to do it with enough notice to wrap things up.
-
I didn't say that to imply I was worried about the pace. I was just trying to explain why 10 might be the best number. And it looks like we agree anyway so there you go!
Let's shoot for a 10 day challenge... and they have to do it for one day out of the week so they'll be there for 10 weeks on that awful island.
-
Oh no, I wasn't clear enough, sorry! When I said 20 I meant 20 points, not challenges: we talked about the guests giving extra points if they're defeated during the Wrestling Days, so my idea was having at each 'round' 2 points in total, one coming from the challenge and one from winning the Wrestling Day. Split by 2, it would've been 10 still: we reached the same number without knowing XD
And I'm sorry if you're feeling our RP is going on too slowly, I'll try my best to speed things up from now on! I'm enjoying it a lot, but I can totally understand if you're worried about the pace, I hope it's not as much as my fault as much as we have plenty of characters to humiliate and many ways to do it during each round, with challenges and Wrestling Days XD
-
20 challenges and 20 fights? Hmm...
Let's try for 10 instead. Then if we still want to continue past that, we'll go for 20.
10 sounds small but we haven't even finished the first half of the first day yet so... XD
-
Uhm, that's a fair argument! I do agree we shouldn't keep going on forever just for the sake of it, as I much prefer a RP that had a clear end instead of just being left forgotten, like you and Anon wrapped perfectly your Naruto: Bets and Balances and Anime Institute ones.
I did saw your new Anthology RP and I'm following it already, and I can see how you two have organized it is quite interesting! And I'd be honored to do one with you: if you'll ever decide to try something similar with me just ring a bell, I'll be more than happy to do it with you!
For this RP, we agree in not making the competition a proper Total Drama-like tournament so we wouldn't have to send characters back home. Going with the points system instead, I think we could do something around 20? Like, a normal tournament would've ended after 17 out of 18 contestants would've been eliminated, so we could do something like that but with points. I don't know it it's too much or too little, feel free to correct me!

I'm starting to think that maybe we should have a set number of days for this competition. You know, so it could have a proper end. Like maybe we should make it so that if or when they reach a certain number of points, a team will be declared the victor.
I only bring this up because I just started an anthology rp with Anon and I was thinking it might be a good idea to do one with you too. If this Rp has an end in sight rather than just something that goes on forever, it could get proper focus should we decide to do one together.
What do you think?
-
Yes, absolutely. Anything can be done with the others that we want.

Two scenes at the same time, got it! It'll make things easier to handle, especially by lowering the numbers in an orderly way like that. I tried to come out with two 'original' combinations, I hope I did well!
Speaking of the contestants, we have the two Eternal Losers, Luffy and Bakugo, who will of course be demolished without harming anyone else. Besides them, and what we discussed about for the single cases (like the slapsticky bad luck for Ash and so on), the outcomes for all the other characters are pretty much open, right?
-
Alright. Let's focus on two scenes at a time. It doesn't matter how many characters appear in a single scene so long as it has relevant focus on what's going on. So, for example, if Luffy, Sabo, Natsu, and Kaminari all appear in a scene together working off of the same goal and motivation than that's fine. It'll all count as one scene.

Don't mention it! Your art truly fills with happiness every time, as you make both amazing pictures of characters I love seeing humiliated (from Dan to Ash to Goku and so on...) and incredible original content, with your Arryn/Radio/Gabe 'verse' and the Juvenile Jenga series! I wish I could draw just half as good as you to 'make up' for all your beautiful pictures, but for now the only thing I can do is trying to give you a fun RP XD.
