Thanks for input about the pricing of the vintage 70s Pampers disposable diapers! Actually, I was wondering what you, as a collector, thought about the design of the 1970s diaper (e.g. Rectangular shaped with multiple sections of thick padding and folded into pleats to roughly form an hour glass shape, its thick plastic outer shell, etc).

Hi! I updated the "How much would you spend for diapers?" thread. This installment features a listing for five (5) vintage 1976 Pampers Daytime Diapers. The seller is asking $200. I recall that you said in one of your posts that you don't have any examples of Pampers disposable diapers from circa 1968 to 1979 in your collection. Perhaps you could enlighten the community with your thoughts about the listing!

No problemo. I think I found a clue as to the origins of the "Chux" brand name - Perhaps the diapers may have been marketed as "Chux" because that's probably what parents were supposed to do with it after their baby is finished with the diaper - Just "Chuck it away"! (See "Wondering where the name "chux" originated?" in the following) -> http://www.timdelivers.com/underpads_chux.html They spelled it "Chux" instead of "Chuck" possibly because the marketing people though that it would sound and look better on the packaging (And also be cheaper to print since it would contain one less character - "x" instead of "ck"). but thanks for the information on the chux brand, i don't know much about those, (ive seen the same ad on ebay, but about a year ago now, i think it could be the same pack lol) for that price, i donk think they sold so looks like thee back)

I just wanted to let you know that I updated the "How much would you spend for diapers?" thread with an eBay listing for a vintage 1955 complete box of (24) Chux square shaped disposable diapers (The World's first commercially available disposable diaper) and thought that you'd like to share some insight about this collectible in the thread (e.g. Why was the product called "Chux"? Why did they also market it as "Invalid pads" as well as "Disposable diapers"?).
