Thats the thing I'm not a fan of that explanation in general though sometimes it makes sense for that kind of explanation I can give you examples on how it at times makes sense and other times doesn't . I don't like to nitpick series/fandoms if they are good but afew things bugs me when they do none magic variants of the age old phrase''its magic we don't have to explain it '' I mean really most magic stuff is about the only reasonable ''we don't need to explain it matter''

No, I don't know why they never said why his eyes are like that. They just say it's part of his mutation, and that's it.

Also is it just more in X-men or is it just plain annoying that I believe we never got a reason Gambit had those weird colored eyes? I mean atleast for most mutants we atleast had a reasonable way to assume why someone had such a look but Gambit I don't believe we ever got the story on why he was made to have red and black eyes
