I was thinking we could have Padme be Ahsoka's mommy figure. In the clone wars you could see they were quite close.

Maybe after a particularly hard campaign, Padme invited Ahsoka to come and "relax" at her private residences on Naboo?

I was theorising that Padme always wanted kids, and already sees Ahsoka like a daughter in many ways, and since she and Anakin can't really have kids right now, this is a way to benifit both girls.

Maybe Padme also justifies it because she read on the holonet about how "effective" this type of treatment is.
