I was thinking the teasing Ed would do when Mac messes and wets himself would make him fuss a bit. Maybe he fussed too much a few times and gets punished for it.

I don't think a sleepy Mac would do that. I was thinking Mac being stuffed in the back of Ed's pants could be used as punishment if he acts out.
