Oh last thing but what if at first the first day of the discovery the way Ryder explains it makes them sound like comfy underwear that help him with emergencies and it doesn’t click with them they are pull-ups even after see him change out of one until they are walking to get dinner supplies and see a mom changing her kid and that is when they figure it out

Which pup should be the primary caretaker. I was thinking everest as emergencies needing her are very rare but all of them would baby him too

Eventually it could get to the point he is in a messy diaper and onesie and they are using puppy eyes to beg him to eat baby food it would be adorable

They could even call the cats to babysit when needed or just to have more caretakers

Basically my idea is that the pups have no idea of diapers and decide to clean ryders room to be nice since he does so much and finds a pack which they don’t understand what they are but when he returns they have the pack waiting and keep asking him about them and when he reveals them they beg to be able to pamper him. And he can’t refuse their cute puppy eyes and they keep on doing this to get him stuff
