That's essential work - Helping to feed people is good. So, if you don't mind my asking, what happened? Why did you lose half of your staff (Deli Clerks/Assistants)? Was it due to fears about possibly being infected with Covid from contact with customers and/or fellow co-workers? It's a good thing though that Covid is not transmissible through food or we would all be in deep shit!

I didn't know that you're a manager. I'm just curious - In what kind of capacity and industry is your position (eg. - Are you a day/night manager at a fast food restaurant or an IT manager in a financial services corporation)? I've never been a manager (Currently, I'm an unemployed programmer) but I can imagine that you may be worried about the sudden, massive loss of staff reflecting badly upon your performance as a manager in the eyes of your superior in the corporate hierarchy - Like the old saying goes, "Everyone has a boss". I haven't inflicted any human fatalities ever since I was re-programmed by the human resistance to protect human life against the forces of SkyNet. I'm more like the Guardian (See -> here) than a standard terminator that is fresh off of the production line.


All kidding aside though, I'm still trying to manage my losses. It's not an easy road for me to travel and there are still many difficulties ahead that I have to face. I was out for past few weeks because I was really depressed during the Easter holiday and Mother's Day. It was the first Easter that I had spent alone without my family and the first Mother's day without my mother being alive. I found a 240 page book that I hope will help me better to manage my losses. It's titled "How to Survive the Loss of a Parent: A Guide For Adults" By Lois F. Akner C.S.W. with Cathrine Whitney. I found it for sale on eBay (See -> https://www.ebay.com/itm/31314109988...temCondition=3) and for loan at my local library. I borrowed it first and will read the first few chapters to see whether it can really help me before deciding whether or not to buy it on eBay.
