Ok. Let's start on beginning. I was thinking that if it was a reboot, we could have it be something of a lost boys situation. Like, the big person finding the village is a lost Boy Scout who stumbles on them. The village could be like guardians of the deep woods. Maybe their magic feeds on embarrassment, and in exchange for something embarrassing, like being the town's big baby, they let him live in their area, under their watch.
