Actually, the visuals were referencing the "Saturday morning cartoon" sequences, with the chase scenes, doors in the hallway, etc. They tend to do a lot of similar acts on the show. As for the song, it was originally recorded in the hard rock genre, but was made easy for the show. Danial Ingram even posted his own remix on his Soundcloud back when he was awaiting those made by fans. I don't believe the song itself was inspired by previous songs regarding the references mentioned above, but he usually has some sort of inspiration to go off in his works, so who knows.
To add to the discussion, I don't see why people would hate on the music :P I'm sure we can include fan-made works as well? Those are always fun to discuss.
Going back to the show though, what has been the most catchiest song of Ingram's? I always figured Giggle at the Ghostie or Winter Wrap-Up, but other people like some of the more recent works.
