I like both of those ideas. Maybe the symbiotes make them go on playdates when they aren’t fighting.

I was thinking that while Steph and Cass are leaving and gushing, someone tries to abduct Steph, but then Cass takes the hit and gets taken instead, if that makes sense?

I'm fine with it. Maybe to a day where one of the other characters comes to babysit, like Lin, and then after that "episode" we skip to them visiting Suyin and selling her on babying Kuvira.

By the way, I think that rather than cutting immediately to Cass's fantasy when she takes a hit for Stephanie and gets abducted by hatter goons, I think we should give Cass some time to see hatter and have some dialogue with him. Idea:

Hatter shook his head anxiously. "Oh, no, no, no! This isn't right,. I asked for Alice, she has blonde pretty gold hair, not black! Oohhh, can't you two do anything?"

The thugs tried to apologise and Cass drearily watched the little man clear hos throat.

"Well, I suppose beggars can't be choosers. Much too late, so close to the tea-date. We'll but a blond wig, yes, that'll make this gig!"

Cassandra now noticed her surroundings. A long table with guests wearing masks. They didn't move, robotically staring and following Hatter as he pranced close.

"Hello, my dear. No need to frown, I've got something that'll turn you right way round!"

(Then he either puts on a blonde wig for "Alice" And then Cass makes an intimidating threat, Hatter puts on one of his mind control hats, and then go into the fantasy)

Maybe a Carnage symbiote that diapers a rival of hers, Screaming Mimi, Black Cat, female versions of villains.
