Also, I might not be familiar with some or any of the female anime characters that you may mention, so I might ask you to provide some background information on those character(s) before proceeding with formulating my opinion. I can do some research as well if I need more information than what you provide on a particular character. I think that if we treat each case as a friendly, casual conversation rather than as a professional psychoanalysis session, which I am not qualified to perform, then we might possibly figure some or all of it out together and possibly give you some peace of mind. I was also once on a prescription of Ambien CR (Sleep aid drug) but thank God it was only for a very brief period of time of two weeks (Before trying Ambien CR, I was on Lunesta which was weak by comparison).
