Didn't they say that they were in a school? They're fighting off swarms of evil things, at least to my knowledge. They're using weapons with special attributes and using their own powers to do these incredible things.
...okay, that sounds like A LOT of anime, I'm sure, but it seems more rooted with Soul Eater to me judging by what you told me with Monty and how RWBY is slightly inspired by that.
You're welcome, Sami. I'm always here if you need it ^^
Well I can understand that. You force yourself to do the things you need to do because, well, you HAVE to do them. You do them because you know where your incentive lies, that it's mandatory. So if you truly find a career choice one day, maybe writing, maybe something else, you have to ask yourself: what is my incentive? It can't just be doing it just because you just want to do it, especially if you want to make it your future.
Do I want to please an audience? Are there original, thought-provoking ideas that I have that are just waiting to be shared with the masses? Do I want profit for how much hard work I put into something? Just something like that. With work, you want to do it because you need to do it. With whatever you decide for your future, you need to find a purpose for it.
Yeah, certainly. I am just as excited as you are, Sami ^_^
I'm starting to see how it ties more into Soul Eater now, given the description of the girl by the writers.
Heh... well I don't know much to say in regard to the situation...
All I say is hey, those game designers, those writers, those positions in game companies, were all of their spots secured due to personal ties to the head of a company or someone else held in that high of regard? Do you think that Monty Oum got on his hands and knees, begging and pleading for Burnie Burns to allow him to help work on the animation for Red vs. Blue? No (more than likely).
Monty worked his ass off. His videos gained prominence due to how easily noticeable the quality of his work is. And he was rewarded for it with more exposure and a wider audience, that being helping to work on RvB.
Now, that said, it's not a guarantee that life will hand you what you want on a silver platter. You've just gotta bust your ass sometimes and hope that over time, you'll develop and turn the eyebrows of those who could need someone like you. Because hey, we've proven time and time again just as people, anything can happen.
Just some simple words of encouragement for ya s'all.
My guess for each episode is between 10-20 minutes. Seems appropriate considering how vast a range of characters was stated by Miles and Kerry. Of course we don't know anything about that quite yet, but they seem enthusiastic about it and therefore that could translate into some longer programming, perhaps.
The interview as a whole was nice. They didn't explain much really about the future PLANS of RWBY. This just served as a testament to how committed the writers are to this as much as Monty himself is.
Well hey, as time passes your ambitions will change. It'd be kind of boring if everything stayed constant. You think of doing something one day (or one year, in your case several), but it's not destined to remain that way sometimes because other things are bound to get your attention.
Are you still focused on being a game designer, or sorts? I remember you stating that for you it was specifically wanting to be a modeler for characters and maps and stuff of the like.
