Yes I agree, although the disaster could be something to set something in motion. For instance they go to investigate something and come across a destroyed city or town with dead and dying people and then follow the trail of who did it, which could lead to a whole new set of problems. But for now, you're right. You joule just fix te crap that I started with Rye lol

So if we are going with your idea, then we need to get a way to stop them. You could:
Have Allen or Lord Ancarth telepathically check Jack or Brad (Maybe Brad since Jack is protected)
Maybe have Lord Ancarth or Allen see them before they leave and reassign them to leave with troops going off to fight the Mountain Clans
Or a different way if you think of one

That sounds good. At some point in the Rp though, and it doesn't have to be now, I think there should be some sort of thing that drives them inland, more into the war torn empire, and away from the generally safe coast. Do you agree with this?

What I thought we were gonna do was have the three of them march with the rest of the soldiers. I thought you said only a small team was riding horseback for recon. Not sure if that makes much practical sense though... I was just trying to think of a way to move them along, since I really wouldn't know what else to do from Imre. And once they get to Burdean, I was thinking of doing something like having Imre destroyed. Something that makes it impossible to turn back, and pushes them forward. To what, I have no clue. what are you're thoughts on all that?

Yeah, we could have a mixture of both though. For instance, men who live in the cities that are deep in the empire and under control of the Dark king would probably be forced to fight. And while we can say most, if not all people at the farther reaches of the empire, who are very independent know of the beasts, we could say the dark king forbids them to be seen around the heart of the empire, and only let's them roam the outskirts. That way all the people who believe he's a good leader, or at the very least have no choice, the dark king can maintain a reputation that he is human, and wants to simply put down the resistances at the edges of the empire and restore peace to the kingdom. While there could be a small information train and resistance in the heart of the empire, we could say most people don't know of the burning of towns or the bests, or any of the dark kings evil doings. He would make very sure that anyone within wash reach who knew was dealt with.

Yeah. I was thinking since he's human as well as his army, then I would think a possible motive could simply be that he wants to rule the land. But even if Imre and those other places aren't blatantly rebelling his rule, there is unrest and talk of the (name) hidden and attacking small towns and soldiers under the kings rule.

Lol I suppose but that made me think we didn't give him intentions or reasons I suppose some of those work but we could always reveal backstory later but intentions can probably wait too

I meant he was technically human but he's like hundreds of years old and is protected by thousands of magic wards and nobody had seen him in like a hundre years but okay
