Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on DiaperedAnime:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Discord has it's issues, but I am also a part of the AOTK Discord server and even they monitor it as hard as it can. The mods are extremely fast as soon as they discover an underage user to kick them, and to keep the server 18+ as stated in the rules and the server is set as such.
The DPA one isn't very active, partly my fault since life had to get in the way. But this site has never been a fan of chatrooms and always preferred the forums. Which is fine, I think a forum focus is better for the users here. Everyone has a preference even for rping here which is fine to me. :3
But I can reassure you, the good servers try their best to maintain them. At least check on them every so often and can be quickly alerted with a simple @ command with the name of the moderator role to alert the staff to such things.
Discord however, at least are making more effort than Tumblr (haha there I said it) when it comes to the matter of dealing with these issues. They mass-deleted many servers which contained illegal content and encouraged reports of such.

I know, I believe real life has basically tacked everyone and it seems even the mods are now effected by it. I think general activity has lowered simply because many people have as you said, migrated to sites like Discord which is VERY user-friendly and considered one of the best places to connect and talk about such comments at this time. It might possibly also be because everyone has been juggling their own things.
Stoner is probably the best person to check things rn to be honest, especially in the technical area. ^^
