Hard to sum it up in a short post.. the wiki is really handy but it's mostly a world where there aren't a lot of safe places to live away from the monsters of GRIM so we have the four kingdoms and as a result most people are Huntsmen or Huntresses and are highly skilled and trained fighters. They use their Aura as as shield and energy for fighting. Their Semblance is the physical manifestation of their Aura/Soul. It's kinda like magic, but it's not magic. There are four main characters that form a team. Students from Huntsmen academies are divided into teams of four as they study and train together. It takes a slightly darker turn at the end of volume 3 but levels out to a happier yet differently feeling show in volume 4. Also the animation quality improves exponentially from season to season.

I think that's a bit too much for a kid.
