But the problem is, you spent most of the game rebelling against your evil brother (who was just evil so he could have the money to save everyone). So once you become ruler, most of the time good choices make you have less cash to protect the kingdom, and evil choices give you more
So you have a huge dilema. Be a benign ruler, but be poor so you couldn't possibly save the kingdom? Or be a tyrant, but in the end save everyone? It was quite an ending
