Alrighty then, a Poochyena! I'll give Gary a Solosis, I quite like the little Psychic Pokemon and Reuniculus will be a wonderful final member in his team.

Oh, that's perfect! Sorry to have asked, I know some people don't like those kind of scenes and I didn't want to force you to write anything you don't want to. Well, this will definetely come in handy in the future, as I'm sure there will be more mature scenes like this along their journey XD !

Well, those are all really good Pokemon! If I were to pick among them, Poochyena would definetely be my first option, both because I like it and in the future Vince's Mightyena and Gary's Umbreon could either be good fightning partners, or 'rivals' or something. Then, in order, Cranidos and then Aron.

Regardless, I'd be fine with either one of them. If you pick Poochyena, I could give Gary a Solosis (Psycho) or a Gastly (Ghost). If you go for Cranidos, then either a Snowrunt (Ice) or a Larvesta (Bug). If you go for Aron, then one of of the previous, either Snowrunt of Larvesta.

Sorry if I change the subject, but I wanted to ask you if you're fine with what we're currently doing in the RP. I have no problems at all in writing 'mature' scenes and things, but I don't want to make you uncomfortable if you're not, so if that's the case then don't worry, we can absolutely stop.

Wait, if you want to give Ash a Flying type Pokemon, then it's Joshua who should get an Electric/Rock or Ice Pokemon, right? That would rule Skorupi out, unless you want them to catch two Pokemons at the same time.

That's not a problem, of course, as among them I'd love to give Joshua a Rockruff for a Rock Pokemon. He could always get a Skorupi later.

And what new Pokemon would you like to give Vince? I could pick one for Gary accordingly.

Yeah, I think that's the best way to start their 'gym journey'. Then, of course, nothing stops us from coming up with different wacky way for them to earn their badges in the following gyms XD.

That's exactly what I was thinking! It's always a pleasure to find each other on the same wavelenght. Well, for Joshua, I originally gave him a Trapinch because Flygon is one of my favourite Pokemons, so if I follow the same logic... well, I wouldn't mind giving him a Skorupi, as I like Drapion quite a lot! So Ash could get a Grass or Fairy Pokemon, or something similar. Do you have anything in mind for that?
Of course, it doesn't have to be Skorupi/Drapion for Joshua, I can find something different if that's a problem.

You're right, they should get the badges only after having endured the penalty. I'll probably make them almost defeat the gym leader but failing at the end, so that they still get the badge for their effort but in order to 'properly' deserve it, they'll have to show another kind of "strenght"...

Uhm, now that you say like that, I never gave much thought about what Pokemon team I wanted for my characters. I like your idea about rhyming each other! But considering Gary is Vince's little bro and Ash is Joshua's, shouldn't their teams rhyme together?

That's a great idea! I'm embarrassed to say I completely forgot about Vince and Joshua's secret base, but you're right, a stop there and a sleepover before heading to a new adventure is the perfect thing to do in order to 'wrap' their adventures in this town.

I've checked and the first gym we discussed is mine and Steel-typed. I know I mentioned in the past about using anime and manga characters as gym leaders, but after playing Joshua and Vince's siblings I'm much more confident with OCs, so I'll do my best and come up with a good gym leader myself.

Oh, and I love the thematic penalty for Ash and Gary! I'd leave the jester outfits for a bigger event, and instead, have them being punished according to the gym structure. And having them fight the first evil team grunts after being healed is great, I love it! We could also have them meet one of the higher-ups of the team or something, like in the games, without facing him but just to add some tension to the story!

Catching some new Pokemon too is a wonderful idea, and I think after the first gym and the first encounter with the team it's the perfect moment.

Yeah, a couple of aches here and there but I'm pretty much healed at this point, I was dismissed just a few days ago. As they say, I'm back in town!

Over here in Italy the situation is quite complicated, as the country is currently being put under a complete lockdown except for the essential stores and shops, so everything slowed down. Still, I'm staying inside and following my classes online too, so we should be fine. Let's hope everything will work out for all of us!

In order to bright things up a little, let's think about what's really important: the RP XD. Now that we have almost finished the 'Vince's family arc', where should we move the story to? Should we move to the town with the first gym? Or meet the evil team? Or something else?
