a thats where the public imaging of ninja's are portrayed they where not like Naruto yes thats true.But they where more like a samurai at first meaning they would fight when in sight, tho they did do assasin work it was not purely assassin work. I mean guezz Ninja's didn't fight fair thats true but they where skilled in both insight fighting in the dark type and ranged hidden attacks.they did fight in the day and was seen but the taste of insight fighting to some ninja's was preferred they mostly preferred the hidden methods.so if you think about how far out they are portrayed you will see about all if not all types of fighting are really just what the public has imaged them as

just so you know the thing is ninja's did use kunia, throwing stars ,mental torment ,physical fighting ,art of illusion ,art of deception.they took on missions to get money , they speared rumors about stuff ninja can't or would have a hard time doing as when somethings said enough it will seem true.they basically had the art of seeing the truth within the the truth .seeing as they intruth would fight weather day or night stealth or not they even far awhile never did the steath cloths deal but they didn't wear things to flashy and such .its basically more of a persons thought that they kill without being seen when in fact that can be true but they hat also fought while being seen .besides the animes more or less just to be watched not to look into the facts. anyway Rurouni Kenshin is not completely true ether all be it fairly intrusting and informing stuff about that time .
