Exactly, plus Ash always leaves his other Pokemon at Professor Oak's ranch before a new season, so that's totally in line with what they do in the anime.
So, with that out the way too, final question and maybe the most important. Are you ready?
Or we could have them start with only one Pokemon. Ash could have his Pikachu, as it was his first Pokemon, and Gary could have his Umbreon, as it's one of his signature Pokemon and a reference to the Yellow version. Then they could catch other Pokemon, of course.
Oh, what a peculiar choice! So I'll get the Moon twin and the Sun higherups, cool!
If you want, there's another option too: as from what I understand you're quite good with coming up with OCs, you could go with them if you like it more; I, on the other hand, as I've never tried with so many OCs in the same story, could use other characters and so on. I just don't want you to force you to do something you're not 100% confident.
Finally, I don't think there's much left to talk. Maybe if Ash and Gary will come to the new regions with their previous Pokemon or not?
Thank you! Really glad you like those names. So, between the twins, do you want to have the Star or the Moon one? And among the higherups, which ones do you want to play? I mean, they're just titles, so they're more of a formality, but it's just so we can clearly divide how many characters we'll play each during the RP.
Well, I do think it'll work out, but I had this idea mainly to lower down the number of OCs we'll have to create during the story, thinking it could be a little too crowded. But if you aren't that found on this idea then don't worry, we can scrap them and go pretty much full OCs ^^
Ok, 2 higherups each... So, I was thinking about this formation for the evil team, if we're going with the "eclipse" theme:
- The boss twins could be "X, Team Eclipse Celestial Star " and "Y, Team Eclipse Celestial Moon"
- The higherups would be "A, Team Eclipse Crescent Moon", "B, Team Eclipse Full Moon", "C, Team Eclipse Sunrise" and "D, Team Eclipse Sunset"
I tried to make the names sound cool and be more or less on the same theme XD If you have better ideas, still, feel free to suggest! I just used letters instead of actual names because we have to decide which characters one'd like to play... so are you more of a sun person or a moon one?
Yeah, it makes sense as, with other characters we can find some funny combinations, but, with OCs, we have more freedom. Still, if this idea pleases you a little, maybe we can find a middle ground, like having only one gym leader each to be based on another character? Or we could sometimes use other characters as trainers our main characters will have to face during their journey.
Option 1 it is, then! The twins will be the same age of Ash and Gary.
Should we talk about the higherups too? Every evil team usually has around 3/4 commanders under the boss, so maybe we should have 2 each? Or is it too much?
Also, last night I had an idea that could be interesting. What if, for the eight gym leaders, we'll use characters from other animes or shows? Like, just as an example, Sasuke from Naruto as the Electric gym leader (as he uses Lightning techniques in his universe, he could fit in the role). Would that be funny for you, or would it be pointless? I'm also fine with creating those gym leaders as OCs, of course.
Well, for the twins, I think we could either:
- make them the same age of Ash and Gary, so 10 or so, and have the others being older as you said, like 15/18 (?)
- make the higher ups/officiers young and have the twins being slightly older then them, as they are the two in charge.
I think it could work either way, at the end of the day it's about an evil team made up of boys around the same age of our main characters. What would you suggest?
Uhm... Well, in my list there are the ghost and the dark gyms, as "cursed" types I guess odd numbers should work with them quite fine XD
So, if we go this way, the order would be:
1- Steel
2- Fairy
3- Ghost
4- Water
5- Poison
6- Electric
7- Dark
8- Ice
Looks good?
Yeah, I was thinking the same, two twins are quite interesting, plus no other team has two bosses in charge at the same time. Should we think about them now with some other higher ups for the evil team?
Alrighty then, I think we'll almost settled! How should we go with the gym order? I thought we could alternate them, as I said, so which gym should be the first? I wrote mine mostly in the order I'd like them to appear, so my first ones would be the Steel one. What would be yours?
Wow! Thank you very much! So, for the evil team, who should have the honor of playing the boss? Or should we have two bosses, like young twins?
Wow! That's quite a list! Although, I don't want you to have the same RP twice, otherwise you could get bored soon, so I'll do my best to make something original. But I too was thinking about penalities and such for the losers, so we'll have some very humiliating scenes for the losers XD
I think I could handle these kind of gyms:
- Steel Gym, based on a clock tower
- Ghost Gym, based on an abandoned hotel
- Poison Gym, based on some sort of chemical factory
- Dark Gym, based on an elegant gothic palace
Those four are some of my favourite types, so I'll have no problems making up the settings, the trainers and the gym leaders. Are those fine with you?
For the evil team, uhm, that's tricky... Well, I'd go for more "traditional" styled villains, with evil plots and so on. Once, when I was a little kid, I came up with a team that wanted to steal every Pokemon in order to use them to "recreate" an ancient Pokemon deity which was based on a Fakemon quite popular at the time... The team's name was "Eclipse" and the higher ups were divided into "Sun" ones and "Moon" ones (way before the actual Sun and Moon games came XD). I know, childish fantasies, but maybe we can get something out of it.
Also, just one thing I forgot: I'm not a fan of having adults being diapered/diapering and so on, so my characters will probably be all teens and younger. Is there a problem for you with that?
