I have never approached him for an RP because I have a very strict policy of not rping with people I see to be troublemakers like him, you see a friend of mine rpd with him before and she had temporarily took control of his character and he snapped at her

others have made the same demands but unlike you they didn't offer there help, i like rping with you mingle but, keep in mind you are the first person i have done this for so please just bear with me

ive never been able to do posts at this length for long and you the first person who actually has stuck with my attempts to do so and i like to think im getting better, but that is only due to your help

i am trying but it is hard, but at least im trying mingle, i want to continue this rp, im sorry if im not catching your attention enough, but ill try to catch your attention if i need to, but please i want your help and advice still, i want to improve my rps

i at least am really enjoying this rp with you, its brought quite a bit creativity out that i didn't know i had, and i thank you for that

Yes, minimalist can be a style, but its defined by a lack of style. They may actually care as well, even if their posts leave something (A lot) to be desired, but that really is all they are able to do, for some reason or another. Without knowing them personally, you really can't say if it is just that easy to make what you'd define as a good post, because you don't know what they are dealing with at any given time. I've been in mourning and still visit the site, then just can't find the energy to make decent posts, but give my partners something just because it makes me feel better.

And thats not where I was pointing out the "for you" or why. What I pointed "For me" out for, was because what makes a good rp for you, is not necessarily what makes a good rp for them. For them, a good rp really could just be what superfunnel does. And they can see what you've written, but what you've written doesn't tell them the standards you hold for them, or for whomever your partner may be. It may seem obvious (trust me, I get that, there are a lot of things that I think obvious, but turn out not to be) but to them its not at all.

And yes, the quality of the site has gone down, theres no real denying that. We're kinda at our own civil war really, because some people think its lazy and/or close minded to only do, say, F/F rps. This then causes tension between the members for some reason or another, to the point where I don't really know who all I can say truly is a good roleplayer here or not. I'd like to think I am, Silenceinthesnow is, Lilliel is, even with her spelling and grammatical issues, FalloutZone when they're on, but beyond that, I just don't know who is really a good partner. Most others have dropped off, as, apparently, is common as this site seems to cycle a lot. Who knows, in a few months we could be incredibly active with tones of actually good rpers. It happens.

But, in this point, once again you are dictating. To you a "lack of style" isn't style, but thats rather literally what minimalism is. And people love minimalistic stuff sometimes. While in RP's I do agree its a lot more boring, not everyone does. But yes, I know he has been here a long ass time, but at the same time, he does rp with pretty low standards, I've had plenty with him to know that.

But right there you've said the key words "For me". Because, no matter what, its for you. Maybe the other partner didn't quite understand what you actually expected and thought perhaps that was just both players styles, because what they write is for them. If that's what they enjoy, let them enjoy it, and just tell them if that's how they intend to role play, that you aren't compatible and drop the RP, then, if you're in the mood for it, find a new rp partner. I've done it more than enough times.

I mean, I may not be against doing that, I do actually enjoy writing, I just never have ideas so people paying me to do something I enjoy (even if its just a little bonus cash every now and then, I'm a college student so I need it). I'd have to practice fantasy writing again though.

And I honestly wouldn't say thats true. There are plenty of RP's I've done where I didn't really care. Now our RP I've always cared about because it was an interesting and fun idea, something I was really able to get behind, and it wasn't just smut front to back, but while I'm not running any like that now, and try to avoid it, I've definitely done it before.

I was just giving the phone as an example (But god, I hate writing long stuff on my phone, typing on my laptop is so much better) and I wasn't excluding mental limitations for why something could be difficult. I just was using a personal anecdote in that case.

As for defending "I'm just not creative" and stuff like that, they don't really have to defend that. That's their style, they may evolve and become more creative as time goes on, they may not. Not trying to sound mean here, but look at Superfunnel, top poster on the website, almost never has a post thats more than a sentence. But some people like that or he wouldn't be where he is. Its up to you to decide what you like to rp with, but you can't dictate how someone else enjoys their rps.

I mean, when I used to write I did a few art trades with Cloud D, but no, I've never seen a writer take an actual commission.

Yeah that whole thing was strange, he seemed kinda flighty or something, idk.

And again, maybe in your mind its not, but for some people, that really is difficult for some variety of reasons. In Example; For a long time during our rp, I was completely bound to a phone, I didn't have a computer or anything. That made it much more tedious to even judge how long what I just wrote was and if I was really matching my partner in that aspect, or at least coming somewhat close. Then, while I may judge something as a good post, someone else would disagree. It didn't take me long to get out of "She did this thing", but it did take me a long time to really learn how to write detail and make it look decent. And even now, I go back to some of my rps from only maybe a year or so ago and wonder how anyone could possibly enjoy reading them.
