I'm hoping that this new John Hurt doctor may be a future Doctor. The time war stuff is great and all, but I feel like maybe they should be allowed to create new big plot points.
Maybe. I can say I am looking optimistically towards whoever the new actor may be, but I am still sad to see Matt go. I am happy however to see he has a career already set up ahead as right now he's filming in Detroit for a major movie.
Whatever. I just hear a lot of people saying this kind of stuff and nine times out of ten they're just people who only have seen the first four seasons and think David Tennant is the only person who should play the role.
Why do you say that when you barely even watched his run? Look this is my favorite version of the role, far better than Tennant in that he actually behaves like an alien, and I watched the classics as a kid, so cut me some slack and let ME enjoy it even if you don't.
Davies was terrible at ending seasons. Seriously Rose eradicating the daleks, "the year that never was", Fucking meta-crisis Doctor solving everything, and again killing all the daleks. If there's anyone to blame for wanting to kill off the daleks it's Davies, and they've been fixed, they aren't multi-color anymore as of season 7.
Matt doesn't copy anybody. He's already said in interviews that he tries to take the role the way he would play it.
I don't want to talk about this anymore. Nostalgia pisses me off, and I refuse to talk to anyone on subjects where it comes up as a reason people argue with.
A.) Children have always been the audience for Doctor Who all the way back to the start when it was about teaching history. It's a family show, why so many people refuse to understand this, I'll never understand.
B.) Who cares if the writer's change it's a fifty year old show, odds are there have been a ton of writer's with different strengths and weaknesses. for example Moffat is bad at ending things before opening a pandora's box worth of new story points, while Davies can't end anything without a deus ex machina.
You really only seem to care if the show is for "adults" but your ignoring episodes like Love and Monsters which involved a contest where elementary schoolers designed the monster.
Also your on a site for ageplay. saying things are for bad because there for kids on here makes you seem hypocritical.
They aren't Moffat is staying. If he did plan on leaving he would've announced it when Matt did. I still don't understand why you dislike it so much, the only thing that has really changed is the cinematography.
