Nah I could definitely see that lol, it would make sense given all they’ve been through and what they’ve lost that they would be especially protective and possessive of what they have.
Yeah that’s the exceptions I suppose, in some examples they can be seen as so good that some of the things that are done wrong are just assumed to be the status quo, guess that’s a problem with the MCU too lol.
And yeah it’s kind of sad how she got ruined so quickly, she barely even had a chance before it happened, they managed to keep Deadpool going for this long, even if he is a lot more basic, I don’t see how they messed that up lol.
Yeah that’s one of the problems I was talking about like a week ago I believe. People will see the worst version of a character and then perceive the actual well written character just like that and not give them a chance lol. It’s sad how many people probably haven’t tried good characters and read about them because they saw a poor cameo in another comic or tv show lol
Well no problem here either then lol. But yeah I can see Jubilee having a similar problem too, I’m not an expert on her by any means but I’ve seen a lot of people assume she’s just some bubbly bratty character who’s always positive and has no real depth, not to mention no actual worthwhile powers, and I always have to ask them if we’re talking about the same Jubilee lol. It’s crazy how people can just misinterpret an entire character so easily.
Yeah I guess that’s the problem, my old school teacher from when I was a kid used to spout something along the lines of, “Someone will judge your entire character based on their first twenty seconds with you” and despite it not making much sense it kind of stuck with me lol. So guess it’s fair.
Sorry for the blabbering by the way lol, I just get kind of defensive when I hear people criticising Ironheart despite not knowing her too well since she’s one of my favourites. It happens all the time so I get kind of frustrated far too easily about it, so sorry again.
Yeah it wasn’t working for me either, so no worries.
But yeah that’s the problem really, she had some good moments in her original run, but was destroyed by Bendis and poor stereotypes, now that she’s under better writers I consider her one of my favourite characters and a top tier one at that, but nobody gives her a chance since they only look at her first run and judge the entire character based on that. Which is insane in my opinion, since that’s like basing the entirety of Iron Man’s character based on some off remarks he said in like the 60s, doesn’t make sense to me personally.
Yeah I just double checked it, turns out the entire reason she even went to Latveria at all is because Shield and Sharon Carter pretty much took advantage of her being a young heroine who wanted to help and send her to Latveria since they couldn’t go without violating a treaty, so they used her to take down a terrorise. But she ended up turning against them and negotiating a peace treaty between them both, and knowing comics I’m assuming it didn’t last, but it’s still pretty cool. Just checked and turns out she was actually fifteen at the time, so I think she gets a pass lol
Yeah that’s what I was assuming, makes sense that he’s Bruce’s repressed childhood trauma and memories resurfacing again, and it explains the way he acts too, guess that’s why it’s so scary whenever he becomes smart.
I mean I know he’s a caring leader but I’m not sure where you got Ironheart being tyrannical from lol. I’ve read the comic I’m assuming you’re referencing where she accidentally took over Latveria. Don’t get me wrong she didn’t do a great job, but she held elections for a new leader after her, choosing to give up her power to let someone with a better idea of how to rule take over, plus she wanted to do good, preventing Shield from interfering and taking over, getting rid of the factions who were fighting and hurting civilians to take control and using her technical knowledge to help the citizens stuck in the middle of a war. And she didn’t do half bad considering she was like seventeen at the time lol. So I wouldn’t consider her a tyrant, plus I don’t think her and Jubilee have met yet lol
Yeah I wouldn’t mind mentioning or bringing up that at some point, sounds fun to me. Reminds me of how Spider-Man apparently once told him a joke so funny he turned back into Bruce Banner lol. It’s funny how he gets the Dr. Doom treatment of being a terrifying entity one minute and Inherently goofy the next.
Yeah that’s completely fine by me, makes sense and probably should be that way honestly, I’ll consider if there’s anything worth including for Laura too.
