It's really all a matter of perspective. Ginjou was the substitute shinigami when Soul Society was strict and rigid about the rules. When he learned he was being observed and tested he defected unable to handle the fact that they would kill him if he disobeyed. Ichigo arrived later, ad like Rukia said, with his unchanging resolve he altered Soul Society to make him an ally. Toshiro explained that the original plan was to use Ichigo to bring Ginjou out and then kill both of them no matter what.
When Ginjou and Ichigo fought he said he didn't want to kill Ichigo. Then in his head he said that Ichigo was supposed to agree with him and be his comrade, he felt a little betrayed. But at the end he sort of understood and wondered what things would have been like if the order was reversed, that is if Ichigo was the first substitute shingami, and if he would have been like Ginjou.

The old one looked a little more appropriate for stabbing. This one looks like it's be better for slicing.

I think this one has a better chance of severing. It's more curved like an axe.

A new one did come out. The fight is over now.

Well the new one has that curve like a trench knife, so it's a little more combat oriented. His new sword for bankai has serrated edges on the reverse edge, that would hurt coming out if he stabbed someone.

I gotta say though I feel sorry for Ginjou, and Tsukishima now.

Yeah. Probably comes from his relationship with his mom.

Also Yukio is taller than Toshiro, and their birthday's aren't that far apart either.

Ichigo seems to respect women a bit more too. I mean he calls Unohana Unohana-san and Yamamoto, gramps.

That scene was a little deceptive. On the one hand it was fan-service with the naked Rangiku, but on the other it expanded on the relationship between Rangiku and Orihime, as well as Orihime's feelings for Ichigo, and Rukia.

Yeah I see it now. It's really acting up isn't it?

You ever notice how Ichigo doesn't call Toshiro captain, but calls Rangiku Rangiku-san like everyone else.

Also do you remember that scene between Rangiku and Orihime when Rangiku comes out of the bath and tickles and comforts Orihime.

I dunno know why but I want to reference these scenes.
