well, my girl is called Sika, she's a natural water bender born to a fire nation slave and grew up in the last years of the war so she'd be about toph's age, just a year younger. her hair is kept short and she's used to keep the slave pens clean of blood from hurt slaves.

That sounds good, so i'll create a scene for your approval, the boiling rock prison, formerly used for prisoners of war and criminals during the war was now abandoned and the criminals there had been rehabilitated or even joined the military. The prison was soon taken over by slavers who took both boys and girls captive and enslaved them, each slave wore a white prison outfit and all were shackled 24/7 and made to wear the protective undergarments of a youth detention center. It was supposedly to straighten out troubled children but as children would go missing they would turn up at that prison. 18 hours a day were spent in the cells with 2 children or teens per cell, the prices varied for what each child or teen was made to do, the highest prices were for sex slaves, and the lowest were for hazardous labor slaves.
