I'm sure that it'll go fine - After all, you don't have to practice walking down the aisle of a church in a heavy, clunky dress with people watching you weeks before the actual ceremony. In a legal marriage, there really isn't much fanfare or pageantry (I've been to one). The two of you will just stand before the judge and he will say a few words like how presiding over a wedding ceremony is one of his/her more enjoyable duties as a duly appointed judge of the state (It depends on the judge) and then get serious and ask the audience "If there is anyone who objects to this couple getting married, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." Barring any objections, the next step is that he/she would declare you a married couple and inform the two of you that you may kiss each other - Pretty "Cut and dry". Then you'll either have the reception immediately out there (You said that you're going to have the wedding ceremony outdoors right?) or later at night at a fine restaurant (It depends upon what plans you've made). After the reception, comes the best part - The Honeymoon!
