Yay. I love plans. It’s a great thing.

Not for the first time in her life, Mrs Lance woke up to the sound of the baby monitor. She woke up, groggily. Ollie was… already out of bed? Good man.

Manoeuvring her way to Conner’s room, she saw Ollie holding their little three year old bundle of love and joy. He wasn’t screaming, this wasn’t a meltdown cry, just one of the mystery sobs.

Dinah walked over, whispering to her husband.

“Go on, you handle breakfast, I’ll handle Conner.” Between the two of them, Dinah was the one who took time getting comfortable with making romantic breakfasts. Ollie kissed her head, and obliged.

Funnily enough, when Conner was rested in Dinah’s arms, he seemed to calm himself. The blonde bombshell smirked a little bit as she rubbed the toddler’s back.

“You lil attention seeker. You just wanted momma to hold you, hm?”

He made a happy little sound. Dinah didn’t really know if being a mom was the right thing for her at first. Didn’t want to rush in, didn’t want to make the mistakes her mom did, raising a kid while also having the superhero history.

But, looking at Conner, at the life she had? She could deal with all the sleepless nights and Conner’s own miniature Canary Cry.

An example of maybe the sort of thing Dinah could be up to. Not word for word, of course.

It would be about the meeting that she’ll have with the Birds before her undercover mob op. You know, the one that leads into Dinah going “Hey, we should hang out before you go.”

Just a bit of it. Waking up to the baby monitor for her son, checking on him, breakfast and maybe a voicemail from Helena about a meeting later?

We can have her wish her friend is ineffectived.

How do you feel about starting the next “day” with Dinah waking up instead of Babs? I think it could be cute.
