Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on DiaperedAnime:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

That could work, but not immediately. Like say maybe, after fourth city or something? And the rival would continue to try to get stronger while putting the character down, wanting the glory for herself while hiding the fact it was her fault in the first place.

Okay, the paci was just going with the baby theme, I didn't know she was trying to prove she wasn't one.
Hmm, maybe the rival spreads nasty rumors about the main character in every town she goes, trying to turn them against her for when she arrives. Thus, a unique scenario for each town/city must be completed before access to the bulletin board is granted.
Like the paci inducing no spell casting effect idea.
But the main question is, what is the end game? Exposing the rival for the liar she is? or is there something else?
Well, it sounds to me like you need more definition to what's going on.
From what you told me last post, I'm picturing a world full of creatures in an FF style. Now what I'm getting from your adventurer statement, is that the girl travels around the world, fighting monsters.
The aspect of paying for diapers adds another feature to the game. For that specifically, a used diaper could cause status changes, like reduced powers stats, poison, random paralyse, reverse controls, ect, hense the reason to buy more.
In order to get more, you said something about finding cool stuff to sell. An idea would be similar to pokemon's 'every town has a gym' feature. Every town has it's own set of mini adventures from, say a message board, that the character can access, allowing different terrains and dungeon scenarios too.
A brief idea I had was powerup items you find might be in the form of pacifiers?
Um...rival might be interesting, but what would be the competition? That's something that needs answering.
