I don't know about it being their first meeting because I think the dynamic of them already knowing each other would help raise the stakes, but in retrospect it might be better to meet right at the beginning of season 2 because that was when Luz was doing more odd jobs.

Well I was first thinking it would be mid season two, so Luz/Amity would be dating but Luz would still be looking for odd jobs.
